Thumbnail, Banner and Thank You Posts. What makes them important?

So I'm planning to make a few essentials for a comic I'm currently making and I'm curious to each of their importance and uses. As well as what mindset I should have when making them.

Thumbnail - First visual people see wrt your comic. Should be eye-catching. Might help to know people's eyes are drawn to faces

Banner - First big visual people see after clicking on your comic. I'd use it as an opportunity to show off some of your art, rather than being a repeat of your thumbnail/cover. It doesn't have to be official-looking with your title on it and everything.

Thank You Posts - They're ... not, imo But maybe someone else will have a different perspective :]

the above pretty much nails it but opinions on thank you post specifically are super varied

on the positives its you engaging with a reader and leaving em a nice little note plus the post doubles as advertisment if anyone else scrolls thru their profile (something that i actually used to do)

some other perspectives might see them as a nuisance or just dont really care for them, some folks even deleting them from their page after a while so they can have their own posts up or just to keep their profiles clear for any of a number of reasons

the most important tho are definitely going to be your icon/cover and your banner as these will give an idea as to what your comics art will look like and/or what your story is about and will be the main eyecatch in grabbing folks as they're browsing through works on the site
