Tips for the writer's camp?

Yeah, I know it would be pretty late in the game for me to start now, but I've been hit with a bit of inspiration and I think I could actually turn something out. Does anyone have any tips for this? What would be a good length for the chapters? How often should you update? What was your experience like with the last writer's camp?

Tip n°1 : have fun. Always
Tip n°2 : don't overdo it, don't overpush yourself.

My chapters are around 500 words each, because that's the minimum requirement and it's easy to read, and it allows me to make more of them! I upload on mondayw, wednesday and fridays, and it seems to work well enough ^^
Don't forget that you and your readers both need a bit of time between uploads.
But whatever happens, this is an amazing adventure, with a supportive community, and it can only bring some good!

It is not late at all! It's just been a week. I am writing as the story unfolds in my head.

Hey! It's not too late, personally my subs mainly started rolling in daily when they posted the Camp collection to the front page last time, and since they haven't done that yet, you're definitely still on time regarding that part! Minimum count is 500 words, I personally don't pay attention to it and just write (unless I've written less than 500 of course.) Like other people said, just have fun, even if you don't win it's a good motivator to get your stuff out there and attract new readers. Good luck!

, what @minerrale said. Don't overdo it and have fun! Honestly, I love reading the comments my readers leave, and gives me a chance to meet new people. And I also post my chapters around 500 words...only over 600 if necessary cause I want to keep that word limit

The best tip I can give is not to stress out about it. Which I know can be easier said than done at times. Just focus on your work, do your best, and the readers will come! I've been posting anywhere from 900-1200 words (I've never been good at short posts). I wrote so much before the camp that I've been posting every other day or two days and sometimes two chapters a day. It really just depends on what will work for you!
