Tips on making money off your art

Hi! I’m here to give pointers to artists that love art and drawing, and wanted to make an income off their work.

For starters, Amazon, Walmart and Etsy are very artist-friendly. I also recommend Printify and Printful to print any merch designs and link it to your storefront. You can open up your own website but it’s harder to bring in customers.

You can basically do anything you wish: fashion wear, jewelry, and even printed books (calendars/journals/planners/comics, etc.). The challenge is advertising’s, which you can use TikTok/Facebook/Instagram by yourself if you don’t have money to pay Goggle ads or any ads for that matter.

I know some artists got popular and gain a massive fan base just simply by posting their finished artwork on Facebook alone and are expanding to creating their own independent merchandise by themselves.

I don’t have any tips on how to advertising your art and or comic, so if anyone else here have helpful advice, let us know!

Ohhhhhh it’s hard to advertise on IG, it took me a whole 5 months to get to 15 followers. Idk sorry.

Growing on Instagram was very easy around 2018 and before that. Since Zuckerberg took over, it gradually became a disaster. Even big accounts are struggling. I managed to grow my account a bit only because sometimes I paint in public places and people always search for me on the web.

Problem is that...My followers are interested in my paintings but not my webcomic, so I don't advertise it there. Plus there's many real life friends who found me somehow and it embarrasses me
