To Creators:
What is one of your favorite facial expression you've drawn or just one type of facial you enjoy drawing a lot of? Like is there a specific panel with a specific expression you've drawn that's your absolute favorite or is there a type of expression, such as happy, sad, mad, etc expressions you really enjoy drawing?

To Readers:
What is your favorite kind of facial expression? Or perhaps is there a creator or creators who's facial expressions you really enjoy?

For me, I love drawing funny surprised faces with the big eyes. I draw the big eyes a lot actually xD Probably once every episode.

As a reader however, I am always a sucker for blushing/shy/nervous expressions. They're adorable.

Sakurada Yana always makes really cute blushing expressions that just melt my heart.

And Emma Vieceli's expressions always get me too. They're intense and packed with so much emotion, I can just feel them hit me. The loving expressions by are probably my favorite, but the angry expressions always impress me.

Drawing: "Annoyed" - there's so many flavors! And there's always the interesting point of whether the character is trying to hide that they're annoyed or doesn't care if everyone else can tell.

Dad being a jerk (left) vs. unpleasant girl won't leave (right)

Reading: Any expressions that show the character feels awkward. I instantly connect with a character that looks miserable at a party.

I'm really considering putting that insane fisheye lens thing they do in anime and manga in my comic. For its intended effect of showing a character absolutely losing it, and kinda for the meme

@migxmeg I like annoyed expressions too xD They're always so fun and funny. And gosh, I'm an awkward stone statue at parties. I feel for characters who are in those situations with an awkward expression too.

@ar-ninetysix Such an intense and perfect expression that speaks perfectly about the emotion or mindset of the character without much or any dialogue. And it's creepy too, perfect for spooky month.

For me: (i don't draw that face too often)
Looking up with the lips tucked in.

Because its funny with that innocent stupid look.

Reader: Proud mother face.

Naruto characters did a lot of that white eye expressions!

Reading: that nose scrunch, =_= eyed "wtf" is a delight. Even more so when used for maximum comedic effect.

I love that insane fisheye effect! The day I was able to incorporate it into my comic was the most exciting day of my short comic-making life so far.

I love love love drawing really wide smiles or evil grins with lots of teeth showing

As a reader I guess I love different kinds of angry faces the most ^^

@allenT He looks precious but also like he's done something mischievous or he's about to be up to no good xD I love it. And oh my goodness, look at that proud mother, so darling and beautiful. And yeah, I think I might have been inspired by Naruto with the white eye expressions. Gosh, I used to watch it so much when I was younger, but I stopped abruptly and never got back into it, but now that you mentioned it, I suppose it made a lasting impression on me in an aspect in my drawings! xD

@DaphnePanda Ah yes, the classic "wtf" expressions xD Comedy at it's finest.

@Kelheor Love these darling characters! And their expressions are so well done and I just love toothy grins. And the bottom right character is just perfect for spooky month as well as showing the versatility of a toothy grin.

I love doing expressions of grim determination, especially on Rip here.

Also that "crap's about to get real" face where it's all darkened and only one eye glows.

But my absolute favorite is this face that is Dawn's resting "cute as a button" face.

But as for my favorite to see. I love Oda's mastery of Luffy's determined calm smile.

I dunno, I just like drawing different expressions. So I don't have just one expression that I favor.

For reading: I like the crazy expressions

@nathanKmcwilliams that grim determination is such an eye catching piece! I love it. His intense expression is so powerful. And the "crap's about to get real face" is always a treat, makes me excited when I know that an intense battle is about to go down. When I see those kinds of faces I think, "Dang, you don't know what you've just done" to the character who's the catalyst.
@TheGreatArtisan perfectly valid answer, anyone can answer with "all the expressions" or even "none of the expressions." It's a very open question. I don't mind people answering with an answer that may go outside of the parameters, perfectly fine ^^ It's always fun to draw all kinds of expressions. I love the second image of your expressions, the angry one xD And crazy expressions are interesting and fun to draw and witness xD

In general i love the sort of deadpan looks thats how some one is "done" with a situation so to speak but there 2 personal favorites that I've drawn for TLC

This one is simply titled PANIC

And this one is braiden question whats wrong with his siblings

I guess wide eyed type expressions are my favorite to draw as well lol
If those expressions catch your eye why not check out TLC?

Expressions are honestly my favorite part of drawing. It can be a lot of fun to make them super exaggerated, and play with body language as well. (Expressiveness also plays a sizeable role in deciding whether or not I like a comic.)

I think my favorites to draw are surprise and distress, like these:

//^This one is of course from a currently unfinished page

Also this vaugely creepy expression from an unfinished sketch:

Thank you so much hahaha. I'm hoping I can use that at some point.
