Hello,
My name is Ivory Moon, and while I'm still fairly new to writing on tapas, I've been writing on other platforms for years (Wattpad mainly). As a writer, I know its hard to find good writing tools for free, and I'm going to share a few things I use.
1: Google docs/drive
I use Google Docs to mainly keep everything organized and as my main writing place before uploading it on here or any other platform; that way I always have backups.
2: Quillbot
My friend recommanded it to me a few years ago, and it's helped me when I struggle with sentencing. QuillBot is free to a certain point, but you can use it to rewrite sentences and paragraphs if you struggle with the flow.
3: Grammarly
Its free to a certain point, but even the free version is amazing. It helps me a ton when I'm editing!
4: Discord
totally free, and I use it to join writing servers that help me with writing, writing advice. I even befriended a graphic designer who helps me make some of my book covers.
5: Inkarnate
for those writing fantasy, Inkarnate is a free (To a point) website where you can create your own maps
6: Pomofucus.io
It's a timer. If you are someone who is easily distracted with their phone. You can use this website to set a timer for your writing sprints and put your phone in a place where you won't be distracted.
7: Canva
It's an app and website, free to a certain point, where you can create your own book covers, Facebook posts, Instagram posts, etc. I used it to create the covers for my novel on here.
8: Hemingway Editor
It's similar to grammarly
9: Picsart Editor
You can edit photos on here for your covers, create your own design, etc.
10: Tiktok
I use TikTok (or social media in general) to help promote my novels!
