Trying to Come Up with an Unique Title/Term for Bounty Hunter

I'm trying to write the story structure for a webcomic about bounty hunters/people who do odd jobs but I can't seem to think of good title for those types of people.

Originally, I wanted to use Freelancers but the sci-fi comic Saga uses that word. So I thought Hunters would be good to use instead but the manga HunterxHunter uses that word too. And bounty hunter is so obvious and unoriginal...

I want to use an original title/term for bounty hunters but I don't want to seem like I'm copying from another comic or being unoriginal.

Suggestions?

Well they are paid to recover things so how about "Recoverers"
or even "Skiptracers"- the second is an actual term used to describe bounty hunters

As mentioned, skiptracer is an existing term you could use - or thief-taker, if your bounty hunters work specifically with nabbing thieves and criminals.

You could also go with things like takers, or bloodhound - thesaurus.com suggests a handful of dog-related names when I search the term "skiptracer", and dogs are thought of as good at hunting and finding things. You could call them Hounds, maybe? Or just dogs.

Or maybe Jack as in Jack of all trades. Perhaps the female version can be Jill. Jack and Jill went up the hill to fetch a bail skipping fugitive?

The word in Urdu and Hindi for hunter is Shikari which looks pretty cool written down. Granted, the word refers more to game hunting than bounty hunting - as far as I know. I don't know if there is a similar concept to bounty hunter since most modern concepts tend to just come straight from English

@El_Psy_Congroo It's probably not a good idea to borrow words from other languages/cultures unless it serves a purpose in the story! Can be confusing to readers, and unless the author is a native speaker, there may be nuances to the word that cause problems, that they wouldn't catch.

I agree in that appropriating other cultures in a more realistic setting (which may give the implication that this is how X people are) and getting stuff wrong can sometimes end up unwittingly insensitive, even with good intentions. But if you're looking for new words in another language I say its fine. People look for words in other languages all the time in fantasy (I realize I'm only assuming thats what OP is writing).

Actually this is done in real life too, words are borrowed from other languages alot and their meanings get distorted. The history of English is really interesting in that regard. OkaystopmebeforeItotallynerdout.
