Twitter popular tags and Pages for Webcomics?

Hello there!
I'm trying to promote my webcomic on a new Twitter account, but it's kinda hard when you don't have a huge following already, unfortunately, So i was wondering if any of you guys know some Webcomics/Webtoons hashtags to use, or Twitter pages involved in the webcomics community...?

hashtags are a good way to start getting a following as it makes it easier to search and find specific posts. if people can't find your posts then it would make it harder to get that following

I'm just saying, you're being very unhelpful. If you're gonna insist that people should not use Twitter hashtags, why not give an alternative?

some other hashtags i've seen used apart from the ones mentioned include #digitalart or digitalartist, artistsontwitter, character design, and really lots of others it's simply a matter of finding out which ones suit your project. I've also noticed that some artists, if they're able, will participate in monthly challenges when they are held. Like last month was #AdventureApril and this month lot of people have been taking part in #MerMay.

Boiling it down it's a matter of finding niche groups and staying active, participating where you can and when you can to try and get eyes on your comic/social media. For some they manage to blow up but in most cases it's a bit of a slow start but once it starts gaining momentum thing begin to grow steadily it's just a matter of consistency

About the webcomic, i only made on chapter and tried promoting it on Insta, Twitter, Facebook and Tumblr, but for now i'm focusing on Twitter, where i have about,,,,20 followers xD

Have you tried imgur or instagram? I think instagram is more effective than twitter, just my opinion. No one cares with my twit but people comment when i post on instagram which is nice~ ^^ try it :slightsmile:

I've used #webcomics and #indiecomics.

I also read somewhere that using more than a couple of hashtags on Twitter is considered bad form or amateurish, while it's ok to use as many as you can on Instagram. I don't know if that's true, or why.

I usually use about three to four, as well as @ some offer retweens if you @ them. Examples I use are

ArtOfWebcomics, WebComicNetwork, WebcomicAvenue, WebComicConnect

Never hurts to promote this way, it doesn't cost you anything, you also learn of other people, etc.
