I'm also under 100 subs! I'm almost there, I can feel it! This series isn't my best work, but it would mean the world if you all checked it out:
Hey there I'm under 100 subs and I think my biggest problem is that I'm very new to writing and to this website so I don't a very big fan base nor do a lot of people know me and how good i could be.
Anyways my story is called Wandering the World. It's an action/adventure novel.
https://tapas.io/series/Wandering-the-World
The year is 2028 it's been 9 years since the Great War that saw most of the world nuked. A world government has now been set up to prevent anymore wars. After a tragic event Stan is seeking revenge, but against who? Find out more about this crazy world with Stan and his two homies, Dariűse, and Quiet. Who have their own beefs with this crazy world they live in.
(Sorry for the way it's written this will eventually be a comic book. This is just the written out version.)
Yep, I'm under a hundred! I'm writing an OC sci-fi crime thriller about a space mercenary and her sentient spaceship. Lots of fun. I have a weekly posting schedule and longer chapters, so I don't tend to spend a lot of time high up on fresh. Probably my biggest challenge is just getting stuff out fast enough.
And, yeah, promo is hard. But my friends are a lot of help betaing and giving me feedback. Would love to expand my reader pool though!
All my novels are under 100 subs ((
I have two ongoing GL Fantasy/Romance novels:
If you are more into mages, a girl in a parallel world, love triangles, and girls’ love slow burn, check out “Avis in Between”.
If you like quicker gxg romantic events, magical creatures (girlxmermaid), interracial relations, and forbidden love - you’ll, probably, love “Fairytales for a human”
Have a great day ️
I'm 40 subs away from 100! One of my challenges is growing an engaging audience. Sometimes threads like these help, sometimes I'll gain subs from nowhere, but most of the time nothing happens. Also only a small percentage of my audience leaves comments, likes, and views, so it's hard to tell whether anyone actually likes my work or subscribed and forgot, or plan on binging it later. I know you're supposed to advertise on social media, but I don't have much of an audience there either. Plus, I'd lose a follower every time I'd advertise my comic on Instagram, no joke.
Another challenge is time. It's hard trying to maintain a buffer that quickly diminishes. I'd prefer to be at least one chapter ahead, but unfortunately I'm behind this time. This lead to the last chapter being updated at a slower pace than the previous. I don't want to keep people waiting too long because they'll get bored, move on, and possibly forget, especially if you're not big.
Hi there I'm under 100 subs trying to reach 50! Currently at 36 subs. I know I'm at the beginning of the story and that could contribute to why I don't have many subs. Also my hand has cubital tunnel syndrome so I can't draw properly that could be a factor too. Comic was on hiatus for almost 2 months now. Have to rely on line art I made before my hand broke.
Thanks for checking out my comic if you do. I will check yours too!
Basically, the biggest challenge I had before was people not seeing my work, but on Tapas they do. Now, I don’t know if I ever hit 100 subs, but I am happy to be read. Like, 100 is a maybe, but 250 is out of the question, my book is simply too short so I will run out of updates well before that. That’s providing i still gain subs after updates.
My biggest challenge is that I don’t like Instagram and feel like an idiot every time I open it up. I posted a couple of things on it, but, eh... this trying to grab attention is detrimental to my peace of mind. I feel a terrible imposter syndrome.
I feel rather like writing and editing more. Maybe even trying werewolves...
Anyway, yes, I want to grow, but I don’t want to do Instagram to achieve growth. That’s where I am now.
Here is what I am writing, a crazy mafia romance adventure thing.
Ok! I'm at 21 subs and my series is a comedy/slice of life called Avocados And Guacamole!

I think the biggest challenge I'm facing is the fact I'm trying to make a manga with "Japanese humor." I've been trying to balance the type of humor I tackle in my story and often find myself holding back from making some of the jokes that I want to so I don't make it too foreign. I've been weighing over the direction I should go.
