I see a lot of these types of posts where a writer is looking for an artist. Some key tips that may help you out is that first before looking for an artist you should have a complete and finished story. Second decide what you have to offer, either payment, or 50% profits, or 50% rights, credit. Nobody wants a writer that disappears off the face of the earth after some free art.
A collaboration is a partnership where both people work on a project to see it through. One example is a 10 page comic telling a complete story from start to finish. Usually it's for someone who is building a portfolio and can gain experience completing a project. This way both people can benefit and are not invested in something long term for free.
If you're coming over to get your story made into a comic watch saturday am on youtube. The owner actually makes livestreams on youtube giving some great inside information on how comics are made, the business of comic publishing, and writers seeking artists. You can always ask questions on the live feed and Frederick is more than happy to answer them.
Also these forums have some wonderful information on writers seeking artists and artists seeking writers.
My advice: take your story and write something that is 10 to 15 pages worth of comic from beginning to end. Then pitch for a collaboration. You're more likely to find someone this way because we know what your story is about, where it goes and how it ends.
If you can do that send me an email and we can work something out.
