Hello, I'm a writer hoping to find a long term partnership with an artist! This is an nonpaid offer, but in the future should the webtoon be featured or anything like that all the proceeds would go to the artist. I vow to be 100% supportive of the artist in all ways possible and will advertise and help spread the word as much as possible. My hope is for the project to be uploaded onto Line Webtoons or Tapas, or any webtoon site the artists prefers.
You can find some of my work on Wattpad.
Here's a small snippet of some of my work:
I sweat beneath my bundles of coats and dresses, even still, the cold makes my eyes water and my nose leak. Lux tosses his head back, sighing in relief as we pass the last crowded street and turn a corner into a small stone clearing. Merchants line the circumference of the area and in the very center stands a large water fountain. The stalls around the fountain are covered with shining jewels, hand-mirrors and other exotic goods. Their vendors enthusiastically pull customers their way with large smiles and sparkling eyes.
As the wanderers of Ferrez flow in and out of the winding currents of stalls, I find myself drawn to the fountain. It’s made of a pearly colored marble that glistens pink, reflecting the sunset. It has six flowing tiers, each higher than the last. Bouquets of flowers are carved into the marble along the tiers, creating an extravagant aura throughout the clearing. The water that rushes down is so clear I only know it’s there because of the way it catches the sunlight, emitting a light glow.
“It’s beautiful.” I whisper.
“That water comes from the ocean.” Lux murmurs to me, lifting his scarf with his free hand. “The water of the fountain, I mean.” He squints, the sign of a smile behind the fluffy scarf. I return the smile and fight to keep it from falling.
My work is very emotional, some of it I'd consider dark fantasy. I don't want to toot my own horn, but I'd say I'm pretty decent at description, character design, and plotting. However, I'm more than willing to talk through any character, plotting, setting, etc. with the artist should a concern arise. I am a hard worker and a very understanding person, I will do my best to meet the artists needs!
I have two projects I'd like to work on, if one interests you please reach out to me! I'm willing to work with you to the best of my ability! While I'm not a very skilled artist I am ready to create and already have some storyboards finished. Of course, I'm willing to give the artist the freedom to diverge from my novice paneling, etc.
The first project I had in mind would be a long one. A sci-fi fantasy YA romance with a good bit of action and drama called "Between Stars". It's set in outer space, so the artist will have tons of creative freedom.
Short Summary: An alien girl is found drifting through outer space by a space ship run by children.
The art style I have in mind for this is a semi-realistic manga style, leaning toward ShĹŤnen, but I am open to consider all artists and all styles!
Since this project is projected to be a longer one, I'd be happy to proceed with the artists under a trial period. I understand your time is valuable and do not in any way want to inconvenience you. I hope, however, to find someone to offer me even a little of their time. I will do my best as a writer and aspiring author to make time spent working with me worth it.
The second project is not very long (10 chapters), but has the potential to be longer. This story will have no dialogue, just telling the story through the artist's art. It's an adventure comedy about an alien boy searching through the depths of outer space for something precious to him. It's titled "Starbound"
For this project I had a more playful art style in mind, something whimsical and cartoon like. As with the first comic, I'd be happy to proceed with the artist under a trial period.
If you have any interest in either of these projects or perhaps I've left something important out, please let me know either in the comments below, email: kirstenpday@gmail.com, or Tapas messages.
Thank you so much for your time and consideration.
Note: I have many more projects should these two not suit your tastes. If you'd still like to work with me or like consider one of the other projects please contact me via tapas or my email address: kirstenpday@gmail.com. I can send you summaries right away.
P.S. After reading many other writer's posts on Tapas Forums I'm a bit nervous. I hope I've covered everything clearly and concisely. Please forgive me if I have offended anyone in anyway. Thank you.
