On that note. I really, really, really, really really LOVE running into comics made by little kids on tapastic (or irl, cause kids who find out I draw comics are excited to show me the comics they are working on and bring them to me to read). I know a lot of people hate on them, or give them shit for not knowing what they are doing, or that they shouldn't be posting such amateur stuff, and of course being too young to be using the site or the internet, but I think they're pretty great for 2 reasons.
1) They are hilariously bad but at the same time cute and fun to read.
2) The idea that this kid, if they stick to comics and still love making them when they get older, is just going to get better and probably start turning out amazing stuff is just pretty damn cool.
You can tell the comics were made by little kids and not just older teens or adults that have just started getting into drawing by how 'on the go' the writing and fight scenes are (cause they almost always have fight scenes) The characters and universe rules are everywhere, and I really mean everywhere. sometimes, even on the internet, it'll be drawn on lined paper, because the lines make it easy to make panels, some are photos of paper they drew on taken with their phone. Very common dialogue that continues to pop up everywhere will be "AHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!" and "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!"
Another unpopular opinion slightly related to this one:
SHOCKINGLY comics made by kids by hand who can hardly spell are EASIER TO READ than comics that have been made by much older people that draw their comics in SAI and sloppily hand-write their lettering instead of using another program to add text. I'm not sure why this is?? It's probably because little kids at that age as still learning how to write words so they're a little more careful about how the letters look? I duno, but it's kind of a weird thing I've noticed.
