I've sent a couple emails over the past few weeks concerning broken ad impressions but have yet to hear back from anyone. I've worked in customer support so I know it can sometimes take a while to address a ticket but I'd definitely appreciate even a brief response to the effect of "Hey, this is a known issue for lots of people, we're working on it!"

I'm also curious if those of us affected by this bug will benefit retroactively from impressions made in the past few weeks? Or will the potential fix reset any possible revenue we might've accrued? I was able to sign up just fine so it looks like things should be working, but everything's stuck at zero.

Staff is incredibly backlogged at the moment and likely inundated with 100s of emails. We've found that eventually emails are returned but it can be a week or more and these are for non bug related communications. Bug report e-mails are probably just shuffled into a pile with the rest since staff probably already knows they exist.

One thing to keep in mind is it took several weeks for new creators to even be able to click the button to join ad revenue even after it was working again for everyone else who joined before the migration. So it is likely going to take a while to get the impressions to start updating. Hopefully it will be retroactive.

Getting search back onto the app took about six weeks? Getting the forums turned back on took four weeks? These are just guesses. There are only two software engineers at the company so its just going to take time. Considering that they got it working again where new people could post to the forums on a Saturday at 10 am, the engineers are working at least 6 days a week. There is probably just a mountain of higher priority stuff they have to do first.

Thanks for the info! And I'm definitely not suggesting they aren't working hard to fix problems, that goes without saying! open_mouth Anyway thanks again for that bit of extra insight; I haven't been active on Tapastic for long enough to become familiar with turnaround times. Sorry that seemed impatient, I was only curious.

Grace, nah, didn't think you were being impatient.

Our opinion of the T-Crew is really high. We have done a lot of business through the years with many media outlets and we have "The 30% Rule" in-house. The rule states that if anyone returns more than 30% of your e-mails, they are a good company. Just guessing, but we would say that someone on the Tapastic team has returned about 50% of what we send them. Sure it may take a while but they eventually return messages.

Any news on when ad revenue might be fixed for new users? I know you guys are probably working tirelessly. But even some kind of reassuring guesstimate would be awesome to reassure us. Thanks again for creating such a great platform in the first place.

Here is an update gathered from the Tapas Twitter account regarding ad revenue impressions:

"Yes, we are aware of the bug where impressions aren't being logged - we are working on resolving this issue. We honestly don't have the [time] to respond to all of the e-mails that we receive, a better way to keep updated is to visit and post in our forums :)"

So, there you have it. The T-Crew is aware of the issue and is working to resolve it.

Can you link the twitter account that notice came from? I'd love to follow it for updates as I'm sure many other people stalking this thread in hopes of when they'll know that their gumball money fund comes back.

YEAAAAH THANK YOU WONDERFUL TAPASTIC PEOPLE! So nice to see the ad counter working feels like a wonderful sense of validation!!!!

Its working now! thank you dear staff!
Looking at tapastic's share though, makes me realize that they actually really do care about creators...so I'll work even harder! (•̀ᴗ•́)و ̑̑

Closing topic.
