UPDATE: I have 3 people up for consideration, so I won't be taking anymore people into the group for now, but if you are still interested, please leave a message and I'll get back to you if anything falls through.

First off, I apologize for the massive wall of text. If you would prefer that I summarize it a bit better, let me know and I'll make it shorter.

My name is Natalie and my Tapas/Webtoons name is Jackalope212. I’ve been drawing and writing comics and fanfics on and off for about 10 years (most never get published lol). My strengths are character design, fantasy and romcoms with some angst and drama for flavor, and my weakness is staying consistent, staying attached to one project at a time, and backgrounds. A lot of my stories tend to be based on dreams I’ve had that are too interesting not to turn into a story of some kind.

Project details:
The general concept/pitch is that people are picked as “players” and forced to play in a “game” in some pocket dimension using unique “abilities” each player is granted with based on special symbols that appear on their bodies (varying placement, colors, and designs, but there is a limit).
The main character is someone with some kind of mental or social disorder like anxiety or something similar who is picked as a player and is given a unique ability/symbol that is rarely used or has never been seen before, and they have to overcome their anxiety and personal demons in order to effectively use their ability.
I’ll go into more detail in private messages to keep the story under wraps. It does take some inspiration from stuff like “Alice in Borderland” and “Genshin Impact” but I would like to change it up some more to make it more original.
SIDE NOTE: The rating on this story and its genre are also open to change. The main character’s age and gender has not been decided on yet (they are at least 18+), and if there is any sexual NSFW content it will be kept behind a paywall or be fade-to-black or time skip (sexual content is not the main focus of the story). Other NSFW content like violence or death will appear however.

Collab or partner? Paid or unpaid?:
This is one of several issues I’m unsure of approaching. I definitely want to compensate the assisting party in some form or another but I’m unsure if they want to help purely as an assistant (helping with backgrounds and some design elements) or work as a collaborator (and they inject their own ideas and designs along with mine), and I don’t know how the other party would like to be paid or when, or if they want payment at all. I could set this up on Patreon and the other party could get a cut (although I have some personal gripes about the site), or make it a subscription option on Ko-fi or Subscribe Star where they could get a cut of monthly payments, or they get a portion of any ad revenue through Tapas or Webtoons, depending on where the project is published. Due to reasons I do not have much money on me right now, but I could also pay the other party at the end of the project based on what they contributed, or after each episode is published again based on what they contributed.

Skills: This is also connected to the previous point. If the other party only wants to help as an assistant in getting the project published then they could help me with backgrounds and smaller design elements and story planning. If they want to be a partner or collaborator then they can help me with designs in better detail and act as an idea soundboard or help with story structure and filling in plot holes.

Software: I use Clip Studio Paint for all my comics, so CSP is preferred but Photoshop is also fine (if it uses PSD file format that’s fine).

Schedule: I do not have a specific schedule for this project (I mostly work on my comics in my free time), but I do have double updates on my currently active webcomic every other week. So, whenever the other party is available is fine, and this is open for discussion.

Scale: Personally, I see this as too big of a project to handle on my own and would like the assistance of at least 1 other person. I could do it alone, but it would take longer for me to do.

Deadlines: No specified deadlines just yet. I might get at least the first couple chapters/episodes done and have a more solidified story/plot structure down before I start publishing anything. And maybe having publishing days on the same days as my current project to help me keep track of when I’m publishing new pages.

Length of work: There is currently no set ending to this story and I'm not sure how long it will run for. It won’t be as long as stories like “Pandora Hearts” (24 volumes) or never ending like Naruto (I’m not crazy). I have a general idea for an ending that could signify the end of the story (it would be open ended or a massive cliffhanger) or the end of season 1 with possible future seasons.

Hi! I’d be open to helping. I can talk to you about some of my qualifications on discord. My username is inertia_artist#6490

Thanks for the heads up! Sending you DM now.

Hey, sorry I missed your message. Yes I do have an email, but I already have 3 people up for consideration, so I'm good for now. If anything falls through I'll get back to you.

Hey! As mentioned before I'm not looking to add many more people to the team, but I wouldn't mind checking out your work and keep you into consideration. I clicked on the link you provided and it only took me to the challenge page and not the work itself. What project did you work on so I can look it up?
