Uploading Double spread pages?

Any tips? or does Tapastic have a ultra-secret bat double spread function activator?

Tapastic doesn't do double-page spreads due to their preference for a vertical, mobile-friendly reading experience. You can either upload it as it is, at 940px wide, and put up with the loss of detail from the small size, or you can mess around with the page a bit, cutting it up so it better fits the format here.

If you plan on using Tapastic as the primary home of your comic, I would recommend avoiding double-page spreads altogether. If you really want them for a print edition, you might want to get a little creative when you upload them here.

What I do is I upload it together for online and keep them separate for the printed version.

my second chapter's gonna start off with a double spread, and i'm just gonna upload each side separately as an individual page. i'm planning on printing eventually though, so i know it'll pay off then.

Double spread pages are so fun, though. I wonder if Tapastic would consider doing a spread option in the future. It'd be a shame to see beautiful spreads cut in half...

I doubt they will. With mobile being such a huge part of this site, the web design is catering to a more scrolling reader experience.

Tapastic is one of the many places I upload. I do plan to have double spreads in my comic and I'm not sure I'd want to compromise how my comic is set up even if it means I have to find a workaround for some of the comic sites I use.

I'd love for a spread feature myself for this reason. Or at least a "click to zoom" function.

I would just upload it at 940px wide and then link the real image in the description (like if you uploaded it on your tumblr)

Another thing your could do is upload it sideways. This may work for some spreads better than others.

I was also considering making putting the 940px wide image in as a thumbnail with the the spread split into two pages below that.

I agree as well that I wish there was a more friendly way to have double spread pages but without the loss of quality. What I have been doing is loading the completed double spread in its 940px wide state. Then I add each page split so people can actually see what is going on. So far that's the best I can do to accommodate readers.

i feel like the image would have to be super big if u wanted to pull that off right??? a double spread is one image across two pages right?
