CONTEXT:
Wally Wood was prodigious. He also wasn't paid very well. So, it paid not to delay and get things done. So, he used the 22 panels along with this personal admonition:
"Never draw anything you can copy, never copy anything you can trace, never trace anything you can cut out and paste up."
So, he could just look at the 22 panels and ask himself, will one of these work? If so, just use it! It prevented him from continuously reinventing the wheel.
