Want feedback from other creators on my comic so far

So I'm still pretty much an amateur when it comes to comics. I've only done one before the story Im currently working on and I didn't complete it. I just want some feedback on if you all think my story is engaging enough so far? And if you want you can also share your own comics as well. I haven't used tapas since I was working on my last comic years ago and I love to be in community with other creators.

Looks interesting so far. Your depiction of angels is close to how the old testament prophets described them.

Yes upload it to tapas. Much better interface and community than webtoons (in my opinion)

I just took the time to read chapter 1 of your story and I really love your art style it reminds me of those classic book I use to read as a kid like toad & frog. Im assuming the MC is from a family of witches? Definetly has a lot of personality. And honestly I just want you honest opinion when you look over mines. Just a heads up I haven't gotten really far with my story yet.

Read it all. I like the sketchy line work and painted look. Alot of the shots are just extreme close ups of the two characters faces. That did make it very clear how similar their faces are. If the angel is meant to be an older version of herself, drawn as a little girl, I can see the resemblance. Still I would've liked alot more variety. Either full body shots, or better variety in the expressions.

Storywise, I was a little interested by the last episode. Before that, I didn't really care. It's only the opening and its short, but there was nothing about the situation or dialogue that hooked me. Woman wakes up in a field, talks to other woman in extreme close ups, also she's an angel, and is a little vague. I know nothing about either of them, or what the goal slash story is.

Not a bad start. There was enough about it that was pleasant, and was starting to go somewhere at the end. Please keep going with this.

Thanks but the angel character isn't a woman at all. I thought that was clear with the reveal of the angelic form & lack of breast but thanks I will keep going and do more zoomed out shoots. I also read your first chapter and left my thoughts on it under there and I also read the comments you posted on webtoons saying similar things that you said here.

Alright, I read it! The art is consistent and capable, the story is good so far, with a strong focus on feeling the experience with your lead. I liked the angel, I am a fan of beyond human characters that feel beyond human, and you succeeded here.

The camera stays very close up throughout, which isn't my preference but it would probably look better on a phone (I'm on desktop). The close up camera does center things on our lead's experience, which I think you want.

The area that could benefit the most from improvement is the backgrounds and background color palette. You probably like drawing characters more than backgrounds, right? So do I! But backgrounds do a lot to communicate mood and sensation, and they're holding you back. A little development here would go a long way to getting this comic where I think you want it to be.

Character designs are good, so far. I don't have any issues knowing who is who and who is talking.

Overall, your comic is good, and it has a lot of potential as well! Keep up the good work!
