Hey, I wanna start making comics and the likes on Tapas for a while now. Been procrastinating like a mad man tho. And one of the things I want some help with/ input on before starting is what size should I use?
I know that tapas have a max wide of 940 pixels. And from what I read on here, I shouldn't draw from scratch in that size. But bigger size and then crop it down to 940.
I would like to use A4 page (cm/inch) size or just normal square for simple 4-koma comic style.
But for simplicity lets say i want A4 size, with a unchanging size of inches, how much should the pixel per inch number be? I was thinking of 300 PPI. And then crop/change it down to Tapas max wide size.
Would above said example be correct or am I dumb? should the PPI remain the same but the A4 page be larger cm/inch which? Should I use A4 and Square or is there something better?
And what pixel size should I start drawing the Banner and Thumbnails at? And are there other sizes to other things I should think of? (Max upload pixel size for banner is 1280x460 and thumbnail is 300x300)
Asking this now instead of putting hours of work down on something which could have been made better and faster with different Canvas setting. Really don't want to put down extra work or feel stupid. Made a similar mistake before when starting up... reaaaaally regret it and could have made super large difference... still feel reaaaaally dumb... (mistake made 2 years ago, fear of try drawing again little bit because of that)
Welp! Wanna start drawing, don't wanna f**k up and make more beginner's mistakes. I'm am a newbie noob at this part, any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance ^^
