Wanting to Buy a New Tablet

Sorry if this is the wrong section for this or if it has been asked to death, I am terrible at forums!

I am hoping to begin a webtoonish sort of comic here soon, but my tablet crapped out on me and I need a new one. I bought a Huion H610 Pro (which, after some research online, was my first mistake) and it no longer reads pen sensitivity after only three months. I have tried everything I could find suggested online, it just doesn't work anymore. I was thinking something more than just a beginner tablet, unless those are fine for making webtoons with, and just general digital art. I honestly have no idea. Before my Huion I played around with a super cheap tablet for quite a while, and feel like I want something better. I was looking at the Wacom Intuos Pro Pen and Touch Tablet, in the medium size. But I am honestly open for whatever you guys think is best, I am frustrated trying to sift through the internet at this point. I wanna draw! >:c

Wacom has been very reliable for me! I'm still using my Intuos 3 from 2008 and it runs just fine!

I also have an Intuos (mine's an Intuos4 wireless) and it's a couple years old now, still as awesome as ever. They come packaged new with a variety of nibs you can use, which is so much fun to play with since it changes how the pen feels as you move it across the drawing area. Highly recommend the Intuos line from Wacom!

As someone who got the Huion 610 pro for Christmas I am now seriously worried....

I used intuos 3 for the longest time, (probably around 10 years) and recently upgraded to a second hand Bamboo Capture and its working just fine for me. Wacom is a more trust worthy brand but it is kinda pricy. From what I can see on Amazon, it seems Huion has a one year warranty? It's possible you got one from a bad batch, maybe you can get a better one if you get it replaced? But if you want to commit to Wacom that's a good choice too!

Buy a cheap Wacom like the Intuos comic.
Wacom gives you good quality and driver support. I went once with another brand and regretted it immediately. Never leaving Wacom again (unless something better arrives).

I am a big fan of the Wacom brand tablets. I've gone through many tablets in the past, but my Wacom bamboo has held up for 5 years now. It was only about $70 at the time too.

Yeah, my Wacom Bamboo has been pretty great. I haven't owned any others, but the only problem I had with it is wearing down the nibs quickly. I covered it with a plastic sheet-paper protector (perfect fit) and that problem is gone.

Just a note if you're looking at the Pro Pen & touch - I have a medium Pro Pen & Touch and the driver is finicky as all hell. Some days it gets by completely fine, no issues whatsoever - but if my computer even remotely lags, the driver crashes. Sometimes I'm not even doing anything, and the driver crashes. Once I was in the middle of drawing a line and it crashed!

Granted, it's not like all of these things happened day after day - it's a nice tablet all-in-all but y'know, a little pricey as is Wacom.

I've been using the same Cintiq 21UX for the last ten years, and it still works like the day I got it, so I think Wacom can be safely recommended as a brand. The drivers get hiccups sometimes, but that's the only headache I've had.

I'd recommend going for a small or medium-sized Wacom tablet, like one of the Intuos-models. I worked with those in college, and they were reliable and good quality.

Wacom bamboo are my go to-s.
Start with something simple like the pen tablet, you don't need the touch option and stuff.
It will last for a very long time!

I've been using the same Bamboo Wacom tablet for more than a year, and it still works very well. It has some wear on it, but it could still pass off as pretty new.
Wacom Tablets are also very affordable. I got mine for 75 bucks.
