Do you have a superhero (or superhero-esque) comic? Well, I have an idea for a shared multiverse, where comics can regularly cross over with each other, while keeping the individual universes separate. What am I talking about? Well, further details under the cut.

Details

The idea is that there are several universes, moving in and out of alignment with each other, randomly. That way, characters can cross over with each other with no further explanation, but also the actions of one comic will not affect another comic's universe.

I have the idea that universes crossing over with each other regularly might create "echoes" of other characters, who are similar to their original version but may have variations or the like, and are likely to merge with the original when their universes come back together (basically, a way to explain how when others might use a character, said character may not act completely correctly, or be an explanation of how a crossover may happen in one place while the original version is having a solo adventure at the same time).

This would be a group of sorts, where I would think there would be monthly challenges for those who wish to participate, which would include story-driven events which are designed to be nifty ideas for crossover stories and be similar to big event comics created by Marvel and DC. Challenges would be completely optional, though.

How people could be involved as a part of the group would be to have at least one character in the pool of ones they're okay with others using (even if contingent on approval of the details of the crossover) and have updated their comic at least once during the course of the year (or contributed to one challenge).

There would still be guidelines for remainder in the group. Basically, it would be about playing nice: never use a character you haven't been approved to use in the context in which you use them and don't harass or badger other creators in the group. Of course, there's also what should be easy to assume, but I'll mention anyways: no racism, transphobia, homophobia, ableism, CP, and other such things.

Also, all art should be created by the person who put out the comic (so, no AI art, screencaps, LEGO, art from a generator, sprites not created from the ground up for the story, etc.). And all characters need to be completely available for the creator to use (so, no submitting Superman to the group, for instance, but you can use public domain characters or ones you created). If for some reason you want to use a fan character (an OC created for a property you don't own), then for the context of the group they would need to be changed to no longer have references to whatever universe they were created to be a part of (as an example and keeping with Superman, if you have a Kryptonian OC, they could have the same powers and be referred to as an alien, but no references to Krypton nor the Superman S shield or other such specific identifiers or context should be used). This is in order to keep things consistent, and keep all creators from the possible copyright problems that could arise from using such characters.

When I mention superheroes, I mean the traditional sort, but also any characters from media which are pretty much superhero or the like--basically, if you feel like your character would work for such a thing, go for it. Especially if they're from media which basically are superheroes but aren't called that (here are some stories which I would call superhero despite them not having the tendency to have that classification, as examples: Sailor Moon, Dragon Ball, Naruto, One Piece--it's all manga, I realize, but that tends to have quite a few superhero-but-not-called-that stories in it).

If you're interested, note me and I can link you to a Discord I've created for it. If you're not interested, I hope you have a lovely day.

This seems like a pretty interesting idea It sounds like you more want to do a super powered multiverse instead of super powered i have an interesting "superhero" manga idea if your down

Definitely. Would you want a link to the Discord? I can send it over a note. Plus, I'd appreciate a link to your comic, because it can always be fun to read a new one.

Yeah man send me a link, so I have a few manga that are in the planning phase still which my superhero is one, but I donhave another where my power system is all written out if your down to check it out

I have mechanics in place in my comic's world to allow for stuff like this. Basically, portals and shit open up randomly in the area, and while our protagonists have no form of accessing these rifts for travel, any interdimensional traveler is allowed to pop on in at the tavern Ralph works at, and maybe find a sidequest.

It's not so much asking for artists, but people who are willing to connect their comics, or let their characters be possibly a part of it.

Interesting. For me, I have an excuse in my comic for my characters being able to access other universes, with one of my main superheroes having the ability to open portals to other worlds. While this group idea can make that character a little more redundant, I'm okay with that.
