Congrats, that's awesome! I don't have a comic, but I do have a novel called Super!
Congrats on that new milestone! That is a huge achievement considering the little amount of time it took. Hope to reach there one day!
Holy moley, congradulations that's major! If you can, could you read my comic and give me a few pointers?the first handful of pages are terrible but i am looking for constructive criticism to make my comic better. It's called, The Isles and reading it shouldn't take to terribly long.. Again, congradulations on your major achievement!
I know, it looks weird. I was also wondering what is happening. I think i can explain when it comes to older comics. They are old and practically beta versions. I launched the old comic last summer and stopped at autumn, because it just sucked. People were not coming and it was ugly and confusing. When you look at the old version, I think you would recognize what I mean by saying it's not high quality comic. That's why I stopped and rebooted it. I spent months mastering my art and storytelling and the result is this new comic. I guess people like it now.
When it comes to Webtoons, I can't really grap that. My guess is it's because it's so anonymous and without way to interact with each other. And I post link on both versions and people just go to Tapas. If anyone has answer why, I would like to hear that.
I saw your comics before, but forgot to sub, thanks for reminding me
Maybe try to check my comic too I hope you'll have fun
You already have sub for me and I'll come back to check on your updates to help you grow
Would you take a look at mine?
Congratulations. If anyone's curious I have two novels here on the site I'm working on.
Congratulations. I've got up to 20 myself. I hope to get more by the end of the year.
I don't think there's anything dodgy or rule-breaking here. If you look at the previous promotional threads for the comic, it's a pretty straightforward approach of flattery and indiscriminate sub-for-subbing across multiple threads. Positive language, invite people to promote their own comics, because everyone loves doing that, tell them their work is great and subscribe, then nicely say they can return the favour if they like, which most people will out of politeness because nice things were said to them and they got a sub. Boom, you have a subscriber who assigns positive emotions to you and your comic because you said paid attention to them. Not the approach I'd personally go for because I'm way too blunt and brutally honest, and it'd eventually leave me overburdened with comics I have to follow, but it's fair game and I appreciate the hustle.
Let's say I practically devoted my life to this comic because I understood it may be the only way to finally change my life and get what I want. I never had luck in work life, even have a college degree in librarianship and I couldn't get the job. I spent every day working on this thing, just so it can come back and finally pay off all the struggles I've been through. I personally believe we gat what we think about and I focuesd on success. Even though it may sound weird
I was hoping it will be a success, but I still have doubts. I myself can't almost believe how fast people come. I can only assure you I didin't do anything that would be considered wrong and hard to believe. I just came back with my idea and showed it to people.
Practically yes, that's what I did. When I reached 10 subs, I created a thread and onvited other people to share their work. I started to look at their work and also showed them mine. Yes, it's busy thing to do, but I got on mind that if you want to be succesful, you need to get your stuff to people. And I'm also glad when I can help others with some promotion and growth of their work. I never pushed anyone to subscribe to my story, if they want to sub that's totally their choice.
Like darthmongoose said. I appreciate the hustle. Keep at it. This is phenomenal
Oh. And here's my end of the month hustle!
Good luck.
Hmmmm, That's awesome
My comic had been around for a year but didn't make it to 25 subs at least but anyway congratulation.
.
I am not sure, but I think Synastry was in Community picks on front page. In any way it's not really something that you should be concerned of, not like OP suddenly got a thousand of subs.
Excuse me, WHAAAAAT? I'm quite sure we would see that on numbers if that actually happened, lol. Wishful thinking. How do you even get on front page? I have no idea about that
Well 50 subs in one week is actually really good and hard to get without being on front page I could be wrong as my memory is hazy at best and I don't know what other work you put into making these subs. You just get on front page, no one is alarming you about it. Recently I saw a few small comics getting into Community picks, that's what I am basing on. May be wrong though, sorry
50 in one week is incredible! Well done!
Here's my fantasy novel for anyone who wants to read it. Hopefully I'll hit that milestone too, if a little slower
