Web Design Help W/ NSFW Pop-Up Age Thing

I am in need to set up a "Are you 18+?" buffer page for the self hosted version of my comic I'm working on. Will def. be keeping my comic here on taptastic as well as it seems to be doing fairly awesome. Starfighter has it for their comic section. AskJeeves has the popup on their nsfw comics when you first go to the page. My pages will be marked as needed individually, but it would be nice to have that screen as well.

Are you asking for Tapastic to have that here, or are you asking for actual help implementing it on your site?

If the latter, I use something similar on first visit to my site, I used a cookie for the decision so it doesn't pop up again on revisit & keeps the decision through the pages, and I used leanModal for the modal style.

A modal for such a thing is built into jquery here, or you could just do a generic javascript version.

I'm not sure how to do the process, but it would require either sign-up or a birthday input pop-up (or just one of those simple pop-ups that say, "Are you 18? DON'T CLICK IF YOU'RE BELOW 18 ARGH").

I know the programming required for some languages, but not all. Which would you be doing this in? HTML/Java/etc?

Haha! Yeah. Sorry. The pain meds do things occasionally.

Sweet, thanks! And yeah, for my site. Taptastic is awesome but 've talked to a few people who won't read a webcomic unless it has it's own domain. Personally, I think this philosophy would make someone miss out on some really awesome content. It's a thing I'm able to do, however, so wanting to enlarge my possible fanbase.

But as there will be some NSFW adult content in a few chapters, I want bases covered and people properly warned.

If you run wordpress, there are plug-ins you can download to create a pop-up like that. just run a search for it and you will find a few different ones. The one I use is just called "Content Warning."
