It's a real site that people use, but it's extremely predatory from what I've heard.

They are not a scam but exploit the authors with unrealistic and predatory TOS and when stories got contracted they usually get pirated. If you want audience is good but is a little bit icky if you want go for the contract. Some people do good with them and others don't.

Adding to what everyone said, if you want to remove your work (which you are actually unable to), don't wait for it and remove while you still can.

I got an offer from them recently, but everything I've heard about Webnovel is that they're predatory.

My advice, don't. I wanted to sign when younger but I needed an adult so I got a parent to read through it. If your work goes big, you won't have rights to any profit it makes. They're the ones with the say to whatever it gets adapted to and you'll only get the rights to how it's doing on their site.

You have to hit word counts to get bonuses and if your story falls off, so does your pay. There's a whole lot of other stuff and it's all so disheartening that I wonder why some people get into it but I guess some are lucky.

If you want to keep the all rights and say regarding your work especially, don't. Hope this helps

Just a good time to put it out there that if anything sounds too good to be true, it usually is. At the bare minimum, you should be able to get online and view the terms and rate of pay on their website.
