Tapastic Acquires Webtoon Live to Push Mobile Comics

wow! so it's finally announced! Again, Congratulations! So...how are things gonna go now?

@SeongQ - All moving forward at full speed to bring more amazing stories that will be shared with Tapastic + Webtoon Live community! Our goal is to bring more awareness of the power of comics in this new digital era. More quality content = more fans on Tapastic = more new comics to be discovered = more eyeballs to more indie creators = more $ to be share between creators = event more quality content created. It's not as simple as it sounds, of course. However, if more members of this community help out in getting more comics known out there (more sharing!!!), we can seriously make an impact in this industry that is so far behind other media types today. Thank you!

Wow! This means that now Tapastic will translate more comics from Daum Webtoon? If so, I'm really happy! ^ _ ^
I know Korean, but English is easier for me. However, sometimes I have problems with English, and this is bad!x)

Any chance of getting Orange Marmalade up again? It's one of my favorite series, and I feel like re-reading it. Any chance it would get a drama adaptation?

@syschwarz Orange Marmalade is already being translated here (idk if i can post links for other websites i'm sorry in advance if I violated any rules) sadly the scanlation there wasn't done by webtoonlive and since that scanlation is official, I'm afraid wbl's scanlation of OM would never see the light of the day ever again [sniff sniff].

As for the drama adaptation, well, there isn't any news about it yet (none that i have heard), but, the possibilities are endless!! maybe it wouldn't happen now or this year, but maybe in the near future

My biggest questions are:
1) When we get license, do we obtain the PSD files from the authors to work on?
2) How can I pair myself up with a translator?
3) Do we ignore works by scanlators like Easy Going Scans?
4) Will we choose the projects we work on or is it the other way around?

We're still trying to work out the most optimal way to transfer files. From your experience, what was the most convenient way to transfer larger format files?

The biggest challenge we face with community translation is timing. Creators want fast translation and upload. We have to figure that our first before anything.

Hello, I have a question regarding the editing team, does the leader do the QC(Quality Checking)?

Maybe the team should finish a couple of chapters before releasing anything?(so that somehow they can be ahead and not so much hassle for any delays)
or all the chapters should be translated-edited until we catch up to the updating until it is released (but that's a lot of work and time though)
also i have another question! i know that the webtoon would be somehow (sold and stuff like that) used for commercial purposes. if i were to be a typesetter, i wouldn't be allowed to use fonts that are not allowed to be used for commercial purposes right? I don't have any money to buy a font, so it would be nice if you could provide some fonts (not only for the dialogues but especially for the sfx)
