So, this is weird. I've been on Tapas since July and I've been promoting my series on the forums here. I also haven't updated my series since then because I am an hiatus. 5 months later, I have 62 subscribers. I'm pretty happy about that.
On webtoons, I posted the same series but I sliced it up to be read as a vertical comic instead of a traditional page that's in print. I posted 3 episodes in Oct, and I had less than 7 subscribers. Then after I finished slicing up the other pages, I posted it early this month in November. No updates yet, but I'm sitting at 40 subscribers. It hasn't even been 2 months, and I almost have the same amount of subscribers on Tapas.
But overall, I've definitely had more reader interaction on Tapas than Webtoons with the likes & comments.
I don't have a big following on social media, but, I have been promoting my Webtoon version of the series on the forums and on my Tapas feed. Now, I can't tell who is subscribing to my series like I can on Tapas so, I really don't understand the analytics there. Nevertheless, Webtoon and Tapas have been a good experience for me, even with the lack of me updating my series.
Anyway, I just thought that was interesting, now I want to hear what you all have to say about your experience with both Webtoon and Tapas.
(Sorry if this is a bit all over the place, I'm tired and being hella lazy.)
