Old topic, but I've just gotta share this one:
So, last night, I was in a Korean drama. A spy drama, at that.
One of my friends at college had gone missing (she actually just doesn't go to this school anymore by choice; but somehow the dream convinced me that I didn't know why I hadn't seen her in a while) and one of her old friends had some suspicions about this and asked me for help.
For some insane reason, I agreed to go along with her on her investigation, even though it was pouring rain the whole time and I would rather have been at home working on the novel I was about to finish (I'm not about to finish a novel, but dream-me was).
After a while, we met up with her two secret-spy friends, both of whom spoke more Korean than English, although they seemed to understand everything I said (this is a very multicultural school, so that part is entirely plausible). One was this cool-looking leader girl with loooong hair, and the other was a guy who was a rookie like me (we got into a lot of trouble together...I felt like we were bonding~).
I won't go into the actual spying...I don't remember that much of it anyhow. Just imagine sloshing around downtown Atlanta (not the pretty parts; the poor parts that no one wants to show on TV) at night in the mud and rain, and eventually hiding out in an old, grimy garage to avoid getting caught.
A lot of people came in and out, but apparently didn't notice us...although my phone kept making these strangely familiar noises (they were from the MMO game I'd fallen asleep in front of ^^) even though I put it on silent repeatedly, so the situation was tense. Eventually, this guy walked in-- white hair, maroon polo shirt with black accents-- and I guess my anime-villain instincts were set off, because in that moment I knew we were done. My phone hadn't even made another noise yet, but we all sat up...
...But before we were captured, I woke up from the dream! =D Typical me...get my allies caught, then just up and leave the dimension...
Anyway, this feels like one of those dreams that will inspire another work of fiction...I don't know how; I'm not actually well-versed in Korean culture, let alone the language...but the designs of the three spy characters are really stuck in my head (and the design of the white-haired guy actually looks a lot like a character I already have...). Maybe I'll just draw them, and see if anything sparks.
