There's just something about 80s power metal...what is it...oh right. It's good.

When it comes to early power metal, you may be shocked to find that it has no synth drenched keyboards and magical fantasy lyrics. In fact, power metal has two branching evolutions that came into be separately.
The earliest power metal evolved as the interstitial subgenre between heavy metal and thrash metal. It was a direct response to the poppy direction hard rock and heavy metal was beginning to take.

I found this lovely cover yesterday and have been listening to it since. It's a song I always wanted someone to cover and my wish came true. <3
For anyone familiar with the movie "The Princess and the Goblin".

EDIT: Nevermind, the dang song won't link. >:T

I'll just give the name.
Epilogue: A Spark Inside Us - Saltimbankya

I love the tones from 70s Hard Rock. The drums especially hit different.

This album blew my tiny mind back in the 2000s when I first encountered it

I still love every single second of it. 10/10

Sometimes taking a break from all the modern music is necessary for me. It's like hard resetting and refreshing my brain's cache.

Don't get me wrong...I LOVE modern music. But yeah... sometimes it's just too processed.

Aw heck yeah. New Striker album, it's only February but...I'm calling it Album of the Year. Don't even need any new music lol

I decided it was once again time to attempt to listen to my entire liked songs playlist in alphabetical order (now at 1208 songs)

Still on A 🥲

I´m listening to my upright bass I just put new strings on

I hated this song as a teenager. It's grown on me, and I don't care what my mom says. It's not a phase! Get out of my room!

Right now I'm listening to Pandora Smooth Jazz Instrumentals.
Have some spotify favs,
and Youtube music sometimes.
