Lady Lock doesn’t have a specific type, she’s honestly kind of a dork when it comes to love despite the reputation people have built around her as almost suave. I think she does lean towards people with more feminine qualities, visually, it could be a guy or girl though just someone who is really femme.

Mostly she wanted to be with something who she could trust a lot, since she tends to be pretty guarded :sparkles: She didn’t intend to be with Stella’s wife, oh wait did I just give a spoiler? Ah I don’t think anyone will read this who’s reading butter bee haha. But yeah she accidentally fell for fellow knight’s wife :sob: which like sounds bad but there’s context missing trust me lol

@beebutterbee Imma blame the amount of rock music I've listened to in my life lol. But at least Texas is getting her wish. seriously the pic above has Chili fresh outta the shower and in his pajamas yet he's still wearing eyeliner (and that cursed bowtie) What is up with that boy?

Also I can relate to Locket wanting someone trustworthy. that's probably one of the most important factors in a relationship imao

He NEEDS to wear the cursed bowtie, it brings him joy okay :joy: You know sometime after a shower putting on lipstick and a necklace isn’t that unheard of I do that, maybe this is just his version of that :nail_care::sparkles: I’ll also still be in pajamas too, but I think they’re more aesthetic than um are those macaroni pants??? I guess he’s just a iconic fashion disaster :sob:

And yes trust is a good foundation for a healthy relationship. Which sounds really ironic when I just said she had an affair with a princess BUT Princess Chariot was forced to marry Knight Stella, so no love there between that married couple, or ex couple I guess

Oof. Not a forced marriage! Poor Chariot.

And yes, those are macaroni pants lol. Chili likes to be loud. as for the makeup thing, I'd not known it was much of a thing when i wrote Chili, but hey of you like the way it looks and it doesn't mess with the quality of your sleep why not? It doesn't seem like it would feel comfortable to me but it might just be because I'm really sensitive to the way things feel. (There's a word for that but my brain is blanking TT)

But for real, the bowtie is a choking hazard lol

Yeah everyone is sort of traumatized in Butter Bee is turns out, despite the cute dorky butter bees, sorry my poor poor characters :sob:

Lol I mean in the sims 4 i have a grilled cheese pajama custom content thing I downloaded so it’s like sort of cute to have macaroni pants, it’s like both derpy and cute!

As for the make up after a shower, I fully intend to wipe it all off before I go to actual sleep! I have a face care routine right before I sleep, so the shower might be in the evening at home but then I’m still awake doing things, drawing and such, and I wanna feel cute still lol. Make up going to bed does sound uncomfortable but I feel I’ve done it when I was dead tired before, just crashing :sob:

I hope Chili puts that bow tie to rest while he goes to bed too omg! yeah no kidding talk about a choking hazard 🥲

XD, i think that's the definition of both my MCs lol. He and Texas are both so cringe, but i love the. Also i wold wear grilled cheese pj irl, and i totally get just wanting to feel cute while you work.

I can't scold anyone when I know what I've put my ocs through. even in my silly stories some of them go through some pretty frazzling stuff. Texas and Chili are going to go through some craziness once the villainess comes into play.

but seriously, in my serious stories, I even feel bad for my villains (most of my villains anyway. A few I have very little sympathy for.)

Was Stella forced into the marriage too?

Honestly I love that! I love cringey characters, not like just for cringe, but I like characters who are okay with being dorks because I think it’s important to be authentic to ourselves. They’re fun characters to write too, because they’re a little less worried about their image to others so they just do what’s true to their hearts. Or at least in my case that’s how I write those kind of characters, I get those vibes from Texas and Chili too :sparkles: (also I would love grilled cheese pajamas irl too lol)

Yeah same lol I can’t get away from it, I guess it’s not so much the drama of it but that my brain is thinking through things so it’s using the story as a tool to understand my own life and grow as a person. Even if the story is silly xD

As for sympathetic villains? I don’t have a lot, or not in my opinion. I think I humanize the villains in my work but they’re a little too awful to feel bad for. Like I show their reasoning, so you can see where they are coming from, but they still are like Yikes ™️. I think the exception to that would be Sabah but also he probably shows the most remorse.

Yes ? But no?! I don’t want to spoil too much lol. Stella is incredibly stupid so he thought the marriage was normal, and he thought Chariot liked him. But it’s like that thing when you’re pretty and you’re nice to a creepy guy? They think you love them. And you’re just like being polite :sob: idk if that makes sense. But that was their relationship. Also Chariot’s catchphrase towards Stella is Ew™️. So she did let him know after a while (a short while) she did not like him.

I definitely agree. it's fun to see characters just being themselves. i like when i get to see even my characters who aren't generally silly loosen up, but Texas and Chili are chaotic-good basically 24/7 lol

Ahh, even my ocs that are really seriously yikes i often feel bad for, even though they're just characters. I often see writing as a way to help me understand the human condition and I often feel like people have to go through truly awful things to become truly awful people and that makes me wish they'd had a chance to be better, even when I know they have to be stopped cuz they're way too dangerous.

There are a few exceptions though. Arista in my novel "Crystal Blue" is really just so power hungry she's willing to destroy the world she created and I don't feel that bad for her TT. She's what happens when a goddess becomes a 'vulture.'

Yikes, I find it hard to believe someone could be that oblivious but Stella is the one I remember you writing in another thread as just assuming a word was fake cuz he didn't know it, so I believe he could be that dense lol

Ah yeah, it’s like you can see where they went wrong and you’re hoping maybe they’ll change for better. I think Lady Lock thinks like that in the story, she knows some truly awful people but she really hopes they’ll change if she gives them the chance. BUT some people are just gonna be awful :frowning:

I think there’s a certain point where those characters could be okay, and change, but some things truly do feel irredeemable to me. Even then I don’t wish death on those characters, even if they do end up dead, I think it would just be better if they would stop hurting other people, that’s the main goal. And you would hope there would be non lethal ways for that to happen.

It’s definitely tricky to write o: it’s like irl you can’t just kill your perceived adversaries or people who have done you harm, so I think for me it is better to hope they’ll change too, even if I know they kind of won’t. Well I guess you could DO anything but I feel like that’s another mess ANYWAYS sorry I have written yet another novel, it’s a wonder I don’t have anything published yet :sob:

Oh that sounds freaky and very not Good™️. But I think that’s good symbolism to that kind of person, I’m assuming

Yeah, I mean Stella isn’t like completely brain dead I think he mostly does things and acts stupid to get attention. I guess it’s not so much obliviousness but being delusional :sob: I guess maybe I do feel a little bad for him, but he’s more just pitiful and pathetic than sympathetic.

Somebody needs to give Stella a book, and all the other villains counseling lol. But I getcha, sometimes you wish a person or character would change but you know it's not likely they will.

as for Arista, yeah, vulture is the symbolism I use. She is quite literally a goddess, but, well this describes it:

she's very villainous, and I think she's the sort of villain you're referring to. I don't think she's redeemable TT. I personally believe any irl person is redeemable, but some of my characters not so much.

And again, don't worry about the novels XD.

Oh it’s interesting that the one instance you do have an irredeemable character she isn’t at all human. But with humans it’s seems you try to be as understanding as possible. I think most people have the ability to change, but it’s not always so clear cut. I’d like to think most people irl are redeemable too though. Sometimes I’m an optimist but other times not so much :sob:

Aye, optimism is a lot easier in the world of fiction so I getcha XD. And sometimes we just want to write a really wicked baddie. I run a range. the villain in Sketchy Business is honestly just so unobservant she's hilarious while being evil. Maybe she and Stella both need to read more books XD

Kattar would die before he said it out loud but he likes curvy girls with big curly hair. He finds round faces cute and finds Alicia's chubbiness kinda (okay more than kinda) sexy. But again he would sue me for writing this lol.

Personality wise he likes affectionate girls who aren't afraid to tease him and don't act like yes men.

That said, Alicia is one of only two crushes he's had in his life and the other looked nothing like Alicia. I wonder if anyone is curious/can guess who the other crush was.

Rivo: He’s Aroace. Never finds anyone romantically or sexually attractive.

Talon: Unfortunately very superficial and thinks way too highly of himself. Only likes the absolute 10/10 supermodels.

Lyndi: Guys who are nonchalant, a little bit on the nerdy side, share the same interests as her, and don't "try too hard.”

Jojo: Girls who are just as crazy as she is.

Wave’s type? Someone who intrigues him, sparks his curiosity, and makes him want to know more. He’s drawn to people who stand out from the usual crowd. Over time, he’s also realized he has a thing for tattoos—and bonus points if they speak Italian.

Dan’s type? He’s into guys who aren’t afraid to be themselves, even if they’re a bit weird, and who make him feel comfortable enough to just sit in silence together.

Neither of them has a "type" when it comes to looks—it’s all about personality for these two.

If you're curious, you can meet Wave and Dan in the novel The Stage of Love at this link: https://tapas.io/series/The-Stage-of-Love/info

Is wave Italian or does he just like the sound of the language?

28 days later

Julian likes people who make him laugh. The fact that he keeps dating Italians is entirely a coincidence, if you ask him, he definitely doesn't have a type.

Fabio likes nice shiny hair that he can play with, which is lucky, considering.
