My mother tongue is spanish but my native language is Latin Spanish.
I was also one that learned english playing videogames and reading stuff on the internet XD

Technically Korean. I'm Korean American; my mother taught me Korean first and I learned English at daycare. Even though I was probably only around 3 at the time, I still remember how traumatic it was to learn English loll I was ostracized and couldn't socialize well because of language barriers T^T Ironically, I got my B.A. in English (and minored in Korean) ^^ So it all worked out in the end. I've forgotten most of my Spanish I used to be able to understand 90% of everything :(((( but I still understand enough to have basic conversations and know when people are talking crap about me >:D

My mother/native language is Spanish! thanks to the internet (and some advanced classes I took in highschool to polish my grammar) I have an English level that I can say I'm proud of x'D

The funny thing is that my English is probably better than my Spanish because Chilean Spanish has a lot of slang, cuts words, goes REALLY fast, etc... oops :DD;;

My mother tongue is Spanish, but I can't remember a time in which I wasn't learning English in some way. Also, when I'm online, I spend more time using English than Spanish.

@r0ckrabbi7 The "basic understanding" stuff being one-directional is pretty common. I've heard a similar stereotype about the languages in southern Europe, which goes "the Portuguese understand Spanish better than Spaniards understand Portuguese, and Spaniards understand Italian better than Italians understand Spanish".

Hungarian ^^ People say it's one of the most difficult languages. I don't know that, but I felt it's grammar has some similarity with japanese.
I enjoyed learning other languages. Other than english I learnt german in school, and later I learnt japanese a little. I wish I can use them, cause I feel I forgot so much by the time I didn't use them

Malay speaker here ^.^ would you believe me if i learn most of my english from comics and cartoons?Although my grammar and spelling need some work but hey never to late to learn! XD

I also learned japanese when i was about 17 years old...due to my interest in anime fad back then lol!
I can understand a bit of spoken,as well as written japanese...though i can only understand the basic conversation kanji (like going,coming,eating) if they start to talk politics or military terms i am so lost in moonspeak O.O

Anyways,sila-sila lah tengok komik saya ya?Kalau boleh like,komen dan subscribe bagus jugak >..> heh.

Since Malaysia is an multiple ethnic country,English is usually the language when dealing in formal matters (like,business and politics stuff like that) Although if you speak malay everyone will understand it just fine.Heck,some people interchange malay and english,even in the same sentence!We call it Bahasa Rojak ^.^

There is a simliar sound when hearing filipino or malay talk (to foreigners)...but if you see it written you can see theres a difference haha XD

@Zannen00, Yeah, Filipino is pretty similar to Malay, with a lot of Spanish words XD.
Oh yeah, I'm speaking English right?
When some Filipinos read or hear a story/comic/conversation in English, they might say "Nakaka-nosebleed!" Hahaha XD

@L4213, Sabi nga raw, dapat marunong gumamit ng tamang paggamit ng gitling (-). Halimbawa: "Pangulo" ay "president" sa Ingles, pero ang "Pang-ulo" naman ay "hat/cap" sa Ingles. (Parang titser na ako niyan @_@)

English is my mother tongue, but I speak French and Japanese as well. I want to learn German and Korean one day too! I love learning languages ^.^ I tried to learn Danish, but it was hard =.= I struggled with the Æ,Ø and Å. But maybe one day I'll get it...anyway. Salut and よろしくね～

I was born and half raised in Chile so I can speak fluent Castilian/Spanish, but later moved to Australia hence the English.
