What are your religions?

I am a christian as well, basically like you.
Me, as a person, I don't drink or smoke nor like going to parties (but that is because of my personality). I'm not a fan of tattoos or piercings but if some one has them, well, its their problem not mine, that's what they like and I respect them, I just don't like them on me. Besides, I have turquoise hair, cuz thats how I roll and I bet some people think its weird. In sexuality, you do you, I may not agree with most of them but I still respect them because they are human beings and they deserve respect. With the swearing, I can only swear in english and with my friends, not with my family and I just CAN'T swear in spanish (my main language). Swearing in spanish is too mean and harsh imo...

Now, comic wise...
I just have 3 chapters done but my comic will have swear words and tattoos/piercings, people with different sexuality and implied sex before marriage because thats the real world and my comic is comedy/slice of life and I want to keep it as real as possible. I will keep it SFW of course 😋

As far as I have noticed, there are many types of christians. Some are just extremists and in my opinion, those are the worst.
Others think they are saints, like, bro, you're not. Stop it with the rainbows and unicorns...
Some others just think that they are christians just because they read the Bible or go to church.

They fail to understand that being a christian is a relationship with Christ and God, to BE and ACT like Jesus. It's not a religion.

There are some Christians out there that have a WWJD sticker on their car yet they do the complete opposite. Smh

I was raised Christian/Catholic because of Spanish influence on the island where it's the main religion, I think i was around 10th grade or so when I began to drift a bit and consider myself agnostic.

Now I don't really know, I want to say more lenient to atheism, but not completely.

I'm a Christian; I just believe in Jesus. As for drawing horns or demons that really doesnt mean anything to me, it's just make- believe. I will also have my characters swear but it'll be tasteful, not just uncontrolled foul language. I also refuse to over-sexualize my female characters. I feel like it just doesn't paint women in a true light. I feel the sexualization of women is way too prevalent in media today. I feel that women are people and they flaws and strengths and they come in different shapes and sizes. The important thing is to bring the heart of the character because that is what connects us as humans. So yeah i view them as God sees them: As people.

I do believe there's more than this phisical realm because when I was a kid I had a dream, I was looking at a garden next to an old man. I later described the garden and the man to my parents and my father got confused because I was describing the second husband of my great grandmother and his house, only my father had visited that house as a teenager. They showed me a photo of him and was the same man of my dream. Years later we got some photos of the house and was the same I had dreamed.

I don't have a religion. I'm an atheist, firmly convinced that there is no god, at least in any sense depicted by religions. I don't deny the possibility that there could be creatures sufficiently advanced as to seem "gods" to us, but only in a technological/societal sense. In any case, I live my life following my own code of honor under the firm condition that no one who isn't a person is judging my actions.

I needed a few minutes to recall exactly how to describe it, but I am at my roots, my ancestors were Protestants, specifically of the Wesleyan Church. I am too, and thus for a time; I have been a Methodist, as it is very much what I am. But since I live in a Presbyterian Church, I am technically Presbyterian.

But in essence; I am a Christian, Plain and Simple. But have I thought of the various Religious thoughts, and studied others. (I even invented fictitious religions ^^) All things said; I am sure that there is a God who loves us all, wants us all to live with him, but gives us the choice as to what we want to do about this, and thus; I have the opinion that there are many things I'd like other people to be, (Including more thoughtful of their actions. I'm thinking of Hotzendorf in that regard) but unless they want me to do something about them or their circumstance: (Or they seriously can't make a choice) I won't do anything. Especially since I can cause damage by my actions.

Thus you can presume a lot about my personality, and what I like from these words. But if you have questions, feel free to ask, but please be patient for my answer. It could potentially be days before I come to Tapastic, depending on what happens in the future.

I am agnostic. I wish I could consider myself athiest but i've had too many unexplained things happen to me throughout my life including ghosts and shadow people encounters to not believe that something other than what science tells us is in the works. :s

I'll never believe in a god as every religion hates LGBT+ and other reasons but I don't want to start a war.

As a member of the LGBT+ I know a lot of extremely religious people will hate me, but more of the younger religious people tend to be far more chill due to not actually reading their texts but just believing in their god.

In saying that, I have a friend who's christian and her parents are Highly christian and are homophobic. Her dad said Fa***t not realizing I'm gay. She told him (in private) and he was legit hurt that he hurt me.

Technically I'm Evangelical Lutheran Christian but that's only because I haven't bothered to denounce my memebership yet. I'll do it once they start to take tax from me. :') It's the main church in Finland and I got christened into it when I was born but I've never been a believer.

In reality I really don't care for religions in any other stand point than theology. Religions are interesting academic thing to learn about even if I don't subscribe to any or believe in any god. I haven't really bothered to try to pinpoint any fitting term for my believe system but I guess some sort of spiritual atheist/agnostic fits the best.

I am Catholic. The Catholic Church puts a ton of thought and research into official teachings. Being Catholic allows me to have a logical faith as I'm more logic than emotion. (Emotion is good too, as long as there's some logic backing it up!) That being said, logic can only get you so far. At some point one has to make the leap of faith, even if logic got them to the point where they have a shorter jump. Both faith and reason are central to Catholicism, and that's why I have stuck with it.

Okay I dont want to have a fired discussion about this AND Im not trying ro appeal you to follow my religion and what not.

BUT, I did some (a lot) of research about how the LGBT+ community SHOULD be treated in Islam. I limited my research to raw text and multiple translations rather than focusing only on lectures (which arent that many anyway) and looking only at one translation (i think at some point I had about 10 different translations for one verse).

Would you believe me if I said that muslims themselves are more homophobic than Islam as a religon?
I find it really weird but i didnt come across any clear sayings against the LGBT+ community. In fact, what I did find (clearly) was the fact that Islam is open to the Trans community too.

I still am doing research but interesting thigs need to be shared so others can look through em ^^
