Thanks, Min! Yes, me too! Part of the reason I want to make stories is that I don't see a lot about familial relationships out there (Mostly Romantic) and I want to change that! Dysfunctional or not haha!

I did do a story when I was 13 that took place in the same universe as one of my current comics. It was about a king that sent a plague upon the land and it was up to a group of people to save it. Now ten years older I do want to rewrite the entire thing and give it a better plot but it would be wayyy too long to make.

I dropped my old comic called Rooftop Bookshop and wow. My friends were piiiissed lol, but I needed to focus on (Semi) Super, I just needed to take a change in direction creatively.

Aside from that I posted 2 short lived attempts at what is now (Semi) Super
and dozens of others that never made production whose names are forgotten now >_>

I don't really scrap stuff, it all just floats around until it gets swallowed into a bigger story. Heart Hex is like... three different stories I've been writing over the past 15 years that never really came to fruition until I mashed them together.

I have two other stories in development, one a horror comic about centipedes, and the other about 20-somethings living in the Southwest during the late 70s.

I think the only thing that might be potentially scrapped is the fan comic I started of Tanz der Vampire. I wanna finish it but... not sure if a fan comic is worth that effort anymore. We'll see.

All of my "scrapped" ideas that I can think of at the moment were pretty embarrassing things that I came up with when I was younger. The one scrapped idea I can think of is a world where children are now in charge now that adults had disappeared I didn't really feel a connection to it.It's been done many times before anyways.

I do have ideas that I don't know what to do with/holding off until I get my first series established or completed-

One is a more comedic (yet potentially heartbreaking) tale of two rat 'sisters' each a year apart. (Mind you, that's a big difference in rat years). There's the perky, sociable Delilah and the cynical, but sensitive Delores.

Then there's this fantasy idea about this warrior who is exiled from her home because her race is nonviolent and she had tried to defend her village while the well-known hero was away. Eventually, she and the hero (who used to be her idol before her absence got her in trouble) team up to defeat monsters together, our protagonist using mostly magic and the other hero using mostly force. There might also be some romance involved with them. Not sure if I'm going back to this.

An older idea I had was about a recently outdated robot assistant teaming up with an autistic mechanic and other outdated robots to stop the latest model of robot assistant from using the chip inside people's heads that let them control the robots to take over their minds. It's a shame that I probably won't do this anytime soon, but I have other stories I'd like to tell first.

A more recent idea is a more gag a week style comic with some story elements about a jack rabbit who thinks he's a jackalope. I'm still working on developing it, but it's not a priority right now.

Lol, I'm in the process of trying to put together a website, I think I'm gonna put Rooftop Bookshop in an archive, maybe even add a bit to it in the future; I can let you know if you're interested I'm thinking about putting an alternate universe slightly more mature but very much of a mess version of them in my other comic because I really did love their characters tbh.

Oh boy, so I have this 6-page minicomic from like, 2 years ago I think? I stopped working on it after page 3, which is a shame because I'm pretty proud of these pages, and this is probably the only opportunity I'll have to share them. at this point though I don't think I could smoothly continue the project, style evolution and all that. Also, I lost my thumbnails for the other 3 pages. Anyways here it is:

I think the general story was that they while they were on their way back home she was going to see the remnants of all the terrible things the knight had to do to get to her, and then the King would arrange their marriage despite her thinking the Knight was a horrible monster.

I'm glad Dust was my first minicomic that I shared instead of this I guess. It's more fun and more in-line with the type of work that I wanna be known for, whereas this was too depressing and sad.

I fall into the 'keep all ideas on the backburner forever' camp, but I had to scrap The Demon Librarian, even though she was a very cool looking and fun character. I mean, how many terrible things can happen to people who don't bring their books back on time?

I have a zillion ideas I've "dumped" but it doesn't really mean that I've abandoned it completely. For example, I might drop a story because it's not compelling enough for me, too personal...etc, but I usually find something that's really exciting about it. I keep that little jewel and mash it together with other tidbits to create a really good story. Since I do most of the writing in my head, this works out fine with me. Halfsoul took me a year to write in my head before I even committed anything to paper, and another story I've working on is 10 years still counting because I'm keep writing and rewriting in my head. I guess my point is, is that I don't ever scrap anything.

One thing I did start but haven't touched in a really long time (so I guess I kinda dumped it?) is Calling of the Bells. It was supposed to be taking idioms, and making a twisted backstory for all of them. These stories were supposed to be told by the bells that this one crazy (or is he?) collector who claims he can hear them talk. I was pretty proud of the art, but since I had to do it for class, I didn't really think the story through so I have no idea what I'm going to do with it XD

Ooooooooooooooh, way to many to keep track. These days, I try and make sure to keep everything I got written down to see if I got anything I can use later. So, I got about... 8-11 stories lying around right now with the intent to write, but the big thing is the concept folder. That's got... somewhere close to like, 30 more ideas in there.
Usually their something small, like a short story or single character concept, but some are pretty lengthy. Good thing I got a lot of time to get everything down someday!

Ahh....There are so many.

First one that comes to mind is an old story I wrote (like, as an actual novel that I have on a floppy disk). It was called rain and it was about...uh...A skitzhophrenic non-active pedophile and his depression and fight with his urge, and the conversations he has with a homeless boy that has a new name everyday, that actually only exists in his mind. I think in the end the man molests someone in a psychosis & commits suicide. I wrote this novel when I was 12 years old lol what the fuck.

Then the second one was called Monochrome Syndrome, and it was about sci-fi-esque pirates with a huge cast of characters and rival mobs and alcoholics. This was in high school with a friend.

Third one never had a name, It was about a suicidal train conductor and his crutch-relationship with an old man who rode the train every evening. Never got anything more done than the general idea. Inspired by an old man I met in a train one time, I'd love to honor him with something in the future (he was a real sweetheart)

Fourth was about a grumpy teacher and a snarky student and then it never went anywhere because I am so against student-teacher relationship set ups. No thanks.

Fifth was a summer project with a dear friend of mine. It never had a name, but it had a complex fantasy world with evolutionary charts and religions and history and races and plants and a cute story about a merchants daughter who runs off to become a pirate with her bodyguard & random vegan chef who believes in meatball gods that strike their wrath to anyone who eats meat (who actually is a weirdo only because he was a government experiment in mindcontrol homg spoopy). Then my friend moved and lost the notebook all this was scribbled & sketched in, so rip.
