I always like to hear about book recommendations! It can be anything- fantasy, sci-fi, manga, even cookbooks! (I love flipping through cookbooks ) If you're not reading anything right now, what's a personal favorite that you can always come back to? I'm reading Bleach for the first time right now!

I'm currently Re-reading Black Rain (a fictional retelling of the real horrors of the bombing of Hiroshima). I have both the English translation and the original Japanese, and I often re-read the Japanese so I can practice and not forget. First read it in high school and it was probably the only book I read in high school I cared about
Currently? Nothing. But I recently reread the novella 'The Mysterious Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr Hyde'.It's a great classic, and being a novella (not even on the longer end of what is classified as a novella) a quick read. Sure, you probably already know the "twist" but a lot of nuance is lost in the osmosis of pop culture so maybe some parts might be surprising.

Ah, fascinating! I studied his War of the Worlds once for Advanced level. I was excited to see the BBC miniseries based on the novel, before I lost interest (too long a time to come out, too many differences from the book). I would recommend the 1984 miniseries of his Invisible Man they produced, which is much more faithful.
