What comics made you want to make comics?

It was manga and graphic novels during my school years to be really pumped/aspire to make comics as a career choice. All the manga I read was straight from shoujo jump lmao,,, but then I weened from that to read graphic novels.

aside from highschool graphic novels
my first graphic novel outside of school was Habibi
Then it was the Dark Tower: Gunslinger born comics

and a lot others but then I dipped into a lot more fluffy, wlw inclusive webcomics like
Princess Princess by StrangelyKatie, Goodbye to Halos by Valerie Halla and Agents of the Realm by Mildred Louis

I mean.... there are A LOT of artists I look up to that have started web-series that I could say inspired me, but there are too many to really name. but yeah, thats a gist of my personal journey with insperation

would it be cheating if I said I was one of those chumps who have never picked up a comic book prior to making a webcomic, and was really just an aspiring animator that decided to dip his foot into comics to quickly and efficiently tell a story of the D&D character that never came to be?

it's not a comic, but Pathfinder cosmology is what really spawned my comic (Utopia vs Maelstrom, the embodiments of chaos vs order, reality destroying Proteans vs existential authoritarian Inevitables)

Not a comic, but Tokyo Ghoul was my biggest inspiration for starting my own series.
