What did everyone get for this Christmas?

I got a book set of H.P. Lovecraft! Between the books that I want to read usually there is no classics, but I know that I just HAVE to read some of them, because they are crazy good. So I dedicated this year christmas card to Lovecraft, so I have all the terror sci-fi reading covered in the future =D

Also a lot of chocolate that I am been surviving at.

Metroid Dread. And I slaughtered it in a week, that's how good it was. Even short games now will take me over a month with how little time I have to play them.

I was spoilt rotten, I got an iPad and a stylus.

So I’m currently trying to figure out how to use Procreate.

It’s a lot different to Photoshop.

I got socks with my puppy's face on them, Animal Crossing and Super Monkey Ball for the Switch, the manga Himitsu Sentai Gorenger, and the complete DVD box Set of Ultraman Tiga as well among others. ALso an iced tea maker.

This year I got an amazingly thoughtful gift I never expected...

So, because of reasons I'm not really talking with my mother anymore and I haven't been "home" in years. This year my brother had visited her and managed to sneak out a small, mushroom shaped lamp from my childhood that I loved dearly. He fixed it, cleaned it and gave it to me back this Christmas as a surprise.

Sometimes the best gifts are the things we never knew to ask for.

Not much this year. Trying to concentrate on paying off my final piece of debt...of course I did my yearly haul from Comicraft- got some pretty cool fonts, got the Blambot Guide to Comic Book Lettering, and got some gift cards from my day job. Went & saw Spider-Man on my holiday vacation...

Not actually this year except a good dinner feast. No gifts, even to myself.

I did bought myself a comic-making guide book oversea back on 2020. It's in chinese text, guide book is on story structuring, manga paneling & overall tips & advices-- written by a comic 'sensei' of since I love & follow his works. It's well worth it.

My wife and I got married this year, but didn't exchange rings. I lose any jewelry so plan to get mine tattooed. We celebrated the holiday a few days after actual Christmas due to travel stuff, but my parents gifted us a family ring. (though my wife would be the one wearing it) It came with a letter about the history behind it, and it meant a whole lot. I can't wait to give it to her.

We haven't got each other anything for Christmas yet tho. Should probably fix that, but our apartment is tiny, so we're more interested in saving up or getting 'experience' gifts, and most of the fun places are closed.
