Personally it's more about the story. XD As a creator I think I'm better at writing novels than comics tho lol

Despite that I still have a comic smh

Novels for when my head's full and I wanna think.

Comics for when I wanna see the MC go brrr either with action, romance, or the big brain smarts

I prefer comics and would make my own because I think having your thoughts as something you can hold in your hands (or in image form that you can see) is an amazing feeling, but I have no art skills, so I write instead.

There are millions of novels and comic books in the world, and none of them are the same- some are incredible, and some are downright awful. Some comic books have better grammar than novels- some novels are easier to read than comics. Novels have a higher word count than comics, and comics have intricate artwork.

I like comics becauseyou get to create characters and see you art well that is what i prefer

Hey everyone! this is my comics that i update every friday and sometime wednesday and sundays

Hope you like it.

Writing novels have their complexities.....the lack of a visual medium makes the choice of words more relevant and while it doesn't require drawing, like a comic would, conveying imagery becomes more complex.

I am presently drawing a comic. It updates every Thursday, so be on the lookout for new instalments. I am in two minds about comics or novels. On one hand, comics allow for creative freedom of expression, while on the other novels have always been more of the old-fashioned way to do things. It is a lot easier to describe something than it is to actually draw it, but I prefer drawing nowadays anyway. Here’s my comic.

I tend to prefer comics for the same reason, at least when it comes to Tapas. I'm not really into novels, even though there are some I do genuinely appreciate on this site.

Anyway, here's my comic:

I'll drop what seems to be an unpopular opinion. I prefer novels precisely because they are much more difficult to pull off than most other mediums.

Novels cannot "show" someone a different world. Every story that is written, despite being the same, is subtly different in every persons mind and I find that to be a very beautiful thing. To be slightly different in every persons heart, memory, and emotions. All the while being written in just one manner.

I work in comics, so I read a tom more of those, but a nice novel isn't too bad either!

But, if you're a comic reader like me, and you've got an itch for some supernatural, sci-fi adventures through an oddly beautiful post apocalyptic world, LOSTLAND might scratch that for ya!

I prefer comics, more entertaining plus I love art and facial expressions and fight scenes from it

I feel I might not have a preference per se, there are plenty of gems out there in both mediums. If I want a quick taste for something, I will pick a comic over a novel though. But to sit down and have a nice long read, oof, please give me a novel.

These are my novel...

...and my comic :yellow_heart:

I like both, but I have a harder time reading novels simply cause I have a hard time reading :frowning2:
I will read them and I follow a few novels and they're great but reading anymore than one chapter a day will both exhaust me and give me a headache and I'm not sure why. ;;

For me, both can go hand in hand. Comics I can appreciate the time and effort it took to put something out there. I commend anyone that has their artwork out there for the world to see. Books are great for relaxation and putting yourself in a different place and time.

For now i'm writing a novel but i am making a comic version of it but it's still a long way to go before i can publish it officially.

yeaa, doctors dont know what's up, I think I might just need glasses, I'm no optometrist though.

While I am a webcomic creator with a love for webcomics, I also love novels because I can get to have fun with using my imagination to picture the characters and settings.

heres mine!

I prefer creating novels.

Reading, I enjoy both types. A great graphic novel is always a fun escape.

If it's a well-written novel, I am able to see the story in my head like a movie :sunglasses:

Comics are more faster to read (and fun when the visuals are good), but for me, I do dabble more into novels.. especially when it comes to fantasy.

Here's one of my fantasy novels:

Comics are definitely easier to consume, I don't have to imagine the images myself. I think that ease leads me to generally prefer them, but the stories that I've enjoyed the most in tapas have been novels.

She says... while promoting her comic:

I like comics better.

hello

i love comics, however ia am better at writting

here is something that i am doing

I'm not going to lie, I prefer comics over novels. If I could make Centris into a Comic I would do it. I love the medium and I love writing scripts for it.

I'd say novel, and here is mine.

I did both with my first project, the fun sci-fi about bounty hunters called Frontier-0! They're both up and available here on Tapas, as well as my website at:

www.wickedsuitproductions.com

You can start with the comic below! It introduces the main characters, worldbuilding as it leads them to the animated pilot we did, which is available for free on my website!

And this is the spinoff novella taking place in between both, which is really fun! Definitely want more people to check out my prose work as well ^^

Is any one here willing to critique my novel for a critique of theirs in return?

(My link is at the very top!)

I definetelly prefer comics :see_no_evil: It always was like this. Even as a little kid I prefered comics over any books, novels ect.
I can't writte well so I did a comic and here it is:

I prefer comics as they are easier to read, and I like visuals! Texts can be very tiring for me though I try sometimes

I like both but for me is easier to read comic at any time I have to be in the mood for it.

Comics  they can show such unique styles

I personally prefer comics too but as you might guess it's too requiring to actually draw an episode... here is my action fantasy novel, I hope you like mafia stories and some mystery!

I like comics more than novels. Here's my comic that fits into the comedy, slice of life, and fantasy bits! (It's a Q&A comic btw. You can ask the characters questions, as long as they're not s3xual!)

I have mixed sense of alliance when it comes to Novels and Comics. I like both equally but mostly for what each has in exclusion to the other. While you're wrapping your head around that sentence come and check out my comic strip. It's about cheeky little mice.

Comics because I like to look at the art side and gain inspiration as I read. I do like novels but I am more likely to read ones that have an art page every now and again though, it just breaks things up a bit.

I like both! I enjoy visual aid but also love to imagine things. Usually I like to read fantasy novels and romance comics. I'm a webcomics creator btw.
