What do you think is the highest compliment for a writer (personal opinion of course) and share your story!

This: "It's just like I could feel Alicia's feelings as if they were mine as well. The pain, the anxiety, the guilt.. all of the emotions feel so raw and real." (comment from @EMJI)

IMAO the highest compliment is to know that readers can feel the emotions written into the story as well as if they were their own.

Honestly, anytime someone leaves a comment at all, I feel like that's huge. I'm like "they took time out of their day to leave me a little note. Awww." My favorites are when someone says what the like/dislike about characters, or ask questions about upcoming events. That kind of excitement for the future is amazing to me.

I had someone commenting under the first chapter of "Sun with a Paper Crown" "Why doesn't he want her to tell his mom?!"

I'm like, "Oh mi amor, that question is the whole point!"

Any comment is always huge to me, especially ones where someone makes a connection of some sort to the plot or characters (by connection I don't mean a personal/real-world association but even just a "hey I like this character" type of thing). But the highest compliment I could ever receive would be the legendary keyboard smash. That would signify that I've invoked plenty of emotion that the reader can't even put it into words, so all they can do is slap random keys incoherently to show that they are having Big EmotionsTM over the story and can't convey it in an official human language. I haven't gotten those very often, but I've received the other alternative highest-compliment, which is when someone tells me that my story made them cry. I got that a couple times and was absolutely floored. Not because I want to make people miserable -- goodness, no -- but it shows that I got the reader invested enough that they actually shed tears over it.

Someone I know noticed that I had re-used the paragraph from my Prelude in my Interlude. I did this to keep the same emotions but to show the contrast between a big city and a nomadic settlement. I was so happy when they noticed it and said aha! And they understood the meaning behind it.

The best compliment for my series would be if people made theories about it, or made memes, anything that shows that they are invested In my story.

Leo, an angel, helps Emilia escape a false reality, and as she is forced to come to terms with the horrifying state of the real world, she is burdened with the knowledge she must become a god. Can a girl and an angel salvage this broken reality?

Disclaimer: this comic gets very dark after the 4th chapter, as the story slowly decends into the darker aspects of the human experience, if you are uncomfortable with stories about mental health, this is not for you. Read at your own discretion.

The best comments I've received are thoughtful critiques and questions about the characters / verse, it shows me that the person is invested in the comic and in helping me improve. I also love it when readers say that my comic / characters are realistic and relatable.

(Sometimes people like my social media posts but don't read the chapter, or they comment without reading - it's better than no feedback, but it can be a little discouraging).

what about the moment when people start speculating on your character's emotions or diving into what they think they are feeling or how they would feel about a situation? that's a fun one.
