What do you think of krita?

have you guys heard of Krita? i just recently found out about it and inked my newest comic with it http://tapastic.com/series/Nukageddon
do you use Krita and if so what do you think of it and do you have any tips about it as well? I'm really new to the program and could use some knowledge if you gots it!

Which operating system do you use? I tried installing it on my work computer (which runs on Ubuntu) and it crashes when I try to open it

Krita's great, but I've always been fonder of GIMP. So far it seems you've really got a hang of the software, though!

Krita looks great, and it has a lot of amazing optiongs.
BUT for me it's not really intuitive (hard to find a brush that I want to use) and it's lagging on my laptop : (

Krita is pretty good for a free program, even though it's missing a few features (a navigation thingy, the freedom to rotate the canvas with ease). But you can download lots of brushes, make your own, and even pull up a reference image (which is always great to have). I ended up using it over Photoshop for both lineart and coloring because I couldn't get pen pressure to work in PS ^^; Even though Krita does take a bit to learn the interface.

But yeah, the program itself is technically still a WIP, so it'll probably add more stuff in the future.

It's great for a lot of things, but I remarked also a lot of other things that don't work and it's very annoying. (i got a problem with the color witch button when I'm on Krita for a long time, it doesn't work and obligate me to restart the program)
But since it's a free program and the developpers are still working on it, I'd recommend it.

I like the ink brush 25 but i just increase it to 30 and im set, im not picky though

I use Krita for making my comic Vicious Circle (and also used it on most parts on CTRL+Z).
I think it's a pretty great program, especially considered that it's free. First of all: AUTOSAVE. Boy it helped me a looot of times. It comes with a variety of great brushes (I had hundreds of brushes downloaded for photoshop but I never found them to be as useful as krita's.) Also I really love that you can acces your fav brushes and tool just by a left click on the tool wheel. Another great feature is that you can instantly go to canvas only by pressing tab. Plus the line tool for example automatically get's the style of the last used brush.
That being said, there are some thing that are not that great. The type tool for example is a bit weird for me, and the program can't save a file in other format's than krita's if you open another picture in the file. (there's a solution to that though, you just have to merge it with a clear layer). But the program is under development, so I have high hopes for it.
And it's free so I think everyone should give it a try at least.

Krita has changed so much within the past 2-3 years. Its one of the most easiest program to navigate, rotate, change brush size with, simply by using the drag method (along with pressing one of your pen's button) with your pen and using keys such as ctrl, shift. x (rotate). Best program for work speed (Based on how I set it up) I try to make photoshop behave the same way, but it doesn't let you, same with Medibang (New Main since Krita is more for painting, etc, and Medibang is more for mangas and comics). You can't really fill in a color in correctly, Krita is pretty bad at doing it, but it is great for sketching, painting.
I wish all program adopt the drag method (for pens and tablets) to zoom, rotate, change brush size, opacity, etc. It's just so much better to work with,

I use krita and it works very well for me!
My biggest beef with it is that it's pretty bad for doing text and it's too easy to accidentally change settings. I also find the color screens a lot trickier to use.
For inking and doing flat color, as well as painting, I've really liked it. It's also got a very helpful community!
