For 'TreasureHUNT!!':
There's not much depth to it... it's a story about treasure hunters
I had some cheesy underlying thoughts about "the treasure is not only the actual treasure but also the skills and friends you make along the way", but yeah, p straightforward.
For my upcoming comic, 'Dungeons & Dinosaurs: Royal Road Trip':
This one is similarly surface level and easy to understand at a glance. It's a dungeons & dragons slice of life comic wherein our DM decided there would be more dinosaurs than usual present in the campaign.
Royal Road Trip ties into the campaign goal/premise. The heir to the throne was assassinated and the protocol for selecting a new heir is to have Nobles with teams of adventurers in-tow travel the country to compete for favor and clout with the people. Cars exist in this setting and so we're quite literally road trip-ing around and doing hijinx.
I'm absolutely convinced that the DM probably took heavy inspiration from Final Fantasy 15 when crafting the plot, but the execution is definitely different enough to stand on its own~
