What does the title of your story mean?

Well...
My story is named Dragon Sparking. There's a few reasons.
One is that powers in the comic are called Sparks. The main character has one. Called the Dragon Spark, so it's literally just a verb. He's always Sparking.

It's also a nudge to DragonBall Z's opening, Cha La, Head Cha La, in which the phrase "Sparking" is shouted.

But most importantly. And I cannot stress this enough. Is that it's also a tribute to this blazing fast power metal song by Iron Attack!

I came across this group ten years ago, when I was plotting the fourth or fifth variation of the adventures of Rip. (the main character of DS) Up until then, I had no idea what to call my series. One tentative title was "Tales of the Bold"

But I found this song, and it suddenly clicked. Dragon Sparking. Mostly because of this line. "Blazing last attack, the final master spark" Every ounce of this song, from the speed, guitar playing, and vocals is evocative of the feeling I try to get across with my story and characters.

Took me a long time to get it running. But I've had the name ready for a decade xD

So, my story is called Daystar, or Dennica/ Денница, which is how the day star is called in Bulgarian. It's also a very popular female name, along Zornica/Зорница(morninf star), while Vechernica/Вечерница(evening star) is rarely used. Different Slavic langueses/cultures have different names, for example if you have watched the show American gods you would know them by the names Zorya Polunochnay, Zorya Utrennyaya and Zorya Vechernyaya.
The original names was "The wolves from the mountain", however the story back then had a vry different plot and as it changed it was unfitting. For a long time I was unable to come up with something, untill I thought really hard about it and stopped myself at Dennica.
There is a Bulgarian folk tale about the Zornica, also knows as the deceving star that tricks travelers in continuing their path only to fall into the lure of samodivas, so I decided to go with the stars' names.
Daystar, as a begining, Evening star as the middle and Morning star as the end.
Also, I had already used the moon and sun to describe the appearence of Albena and Bozhana, so I went with the Daystar for Kalina.

Demon House: Pretty literal xD The main character is renting a place haunted by demons.

Heavy Horns: The main character has bull horns and the burden of having them has affected his life, in some ways positive, but he still suffers some hindrances.

Erie Waters: A play on words. It's a paranormal romance that happens on the shores of Lake Erie.

At Ease: Also a play on words. It's a paranormal romance between a guy and a ghost soldier.

Sarota Springs: It's the name of the town the story takes place in.

Secunda: This one requires a bit more explanation. It means 'second' in latin. One of the themes in the story is having a second life. The main monster quite literally is in his second life as his original body shattered and now he's in a new state of being. The protagonist is entering a new stage in life as well after a period of isolation, and her meeting the monster basically jump starts a new beginning for her. Now, I chose a latin word for the title because the story is about a cryptid-like species and there are other ties to natural history so I wanted something to link to scientific nomenclature.

One story I´m working on is called "Loser in Love"
I tried to capture everyting which is important in the title. The main character is a loser, it´s some kind
of romantic story and it plays in the real word and you know that it must play in the time era 1950s-2020
because people didn´t use the word loser before that. Could of course also be a fantasy story or medieval
times with some humour and the loser is a knight and falls in love with the princess but I think most
people would expect a story which plays today

usually my stories are just named after my main character, but my comic just didnt quite feel right being called Lydia as its more than one character im focusing on in this story so instead I called it Djinns and well, its about discovering of a people called Djinns and learning about them so, im simple minded like that xD

My title is pretty literal as well :'D main character needs to rebuild his old coven to do something, but the members of said old coven are all gone, so he'll be pretty much forced to make do with a bunch of disaster witches and wizards he barely even knows... hence The Emergency Coven

Why don´t you name it using the words discovering and djins in it?
That could make an interesting title.
Think about famous movies, some have names in it but there is
usual a subtitle under it.

It also leaves you room to keep the main character as the title and name
different episodes.
When you write a story about a hopeless romantic you call it hopeless romantic
about a hitman you can call it something with bullets in it or hitman, target, killing

It stupid and overly simple. My main female character's name means Sea and my main male characters name means Wolf. Thus, The Sea and the Wolf

Mine is entitled "Bread, and all variations of the aforementioned" which is one hell of a mouthful.

It's the name of the main character, and the premise is that she's trying to change it to something more, uh, easy on the eyes.

The character is a doll who is actually a monstrous amalmagation of other dolls, all named after a type of bread. There's some other symbolism behind the title but it sort of spoils some plot points lol

Mine is like as it is. "The Seventh Kingdom". It's about the mystery on what happened to the Seventh Kingdom or what The Seventh Kingdom really means to my main character. The mystery is for him to solve.

The title of my comic Cup & Quill has a few different layers going on.

• At the most basic it’s the name of the cafe & bookstore that the main characters are connected by.

• If you want to go a little deeper Ember and Goji, who are holding hands on the cover work in the two separate halves of the store. Goji works in the cafe (Cup) and Ember works in the bookstore (Quill).

• On a more abstract level it’s about combining things that are dissimilar, but still go together. As the story develops and different characters begin to partner up this theme will become more readily apparent.

'MAOR' is just the name of the protagonist. It's about his story. The name got another meaning though: it means 'light' or 'luminary' in Hebrew. It's purely coincidental.
