Now I play Diablo 2 and I can safely say that this is my fav game this year. The plot is very exciting, as are the boss battles. Except I find it quite difficult to complete some quests and collect unique items. When I learned about the properties of the Windforce bow from yes gamers1, I really wanted to get it, but defeating the final boss turned out to be a very difficult task
@simplykit I think its only on Xbox, and PC. I'm playing it on my steam deck, but I don't think its available for my PS4.
I've been playing a lot of MW2 DMZ tbh. I have...A lot of conflicted things to say about it, so read Game Punks for strip about MW2 soon
Got to experience the Sky x Aurora concert and it was even more beautiful than I'd anticipated. Wound up sobbing by the end but it was such a moving experience being guided through the world of Sky by her voice. There really were nearly 4000 players all in the one big shared space to enjoy it together and honestly that's amazing for Sky and it's no doubt been amazing for a lot of folks too. Literally just this ethereal experience getting to see these glimpses of the Sky kingdom's past and then hearing Aurora's songs. I actually wound up running out of video space while recording or rather trying to record these moments in the concert but honestly it was worth it. Honestly I'm hoping to draw some of my favorite moments (quality be danged just to hold onto the memory) because it really was just a touching experience
Also checked out big run which started today and eh =v=;; not terrible but i guess i felt underwhelmed after all the hype but the atmosphere of splatsville with the red sky and ominous music in the grizzco lobby is pretty neat. a lot of folks were right to assume that it'd be tough playing with randoms but i at least managed to clear like a couple shifts.
overall tho i dont think i'll be poking my head into big run all to much tbh and just hand around in the aurora event space in sky because even if there's not a whole lot going on between concerts (aside from thousands of other sky kids swirling around you <3) the vibe of the place is chill and something i think i'd prefer. PLUS there's a little meditative/quiet spot where you can chill and breathe and if you use the sitting mats you can hear aurora guiding you through breathing exercises so it's like all the more cozy <3
@TroyVSTheWorld aww man my pc cant handle high end games, really wanted to play more warhammer games
@Legendofgenii red dead 2 has incredible graphics its, its my second choice, witcher 3 is my boo

I've been playing Pentiment lately, and the artstyle is a delight, especially combined with how the UI is set up, how the dialogue works and so on. I'm not sure I can call it "immersive", because the whole thing is very stylized and symbolic, but all the elements work so well together that they create an immersion of sorts - not into the actual 16th century, but into a symbolic representation of it, I guess?
Found my guide book to Final Fantasy 12 for PS2, so I think I'm gonna eventually plug in Final Fantasy: The Zodiac Age(which is basically FF12 for PS4) and play that. I loved playing FF12 on my PS2(I have it for PS2) until my nephew destroyed my PS2 by sitting the console on the carpet which caused a static feedback.
Yeah, my brother is shocked that he was seeing me play the Switch. I mean I plan on playing the PS5 (Spider-Man, Tekken, Street Fighter, all that), it's just... Sonic Origins is on the Switch.... and I happened to buy it there. Plus Nintendo has them exclusives.
Speaking of which, Sonic 3 & Knuckles is pure dopamine. Oh my GAWD.
Btw I never had a PS4 so I'm going to be playing catch-up. I've been playing on the PS3 for a while now.
I´m playing Prominence Poker. The game free, you can play it online without having to pay for the online thingy,
almost to good to be true. It´s a well done game. The casual games get annoying quickly because there are
too many players who go all in all the time. The tournaments are really great and are the most fun because
people don´t play too risky. I think I´m pretty good at the game
Been awfully silent on this thread bc of Sky, honestly. I felt weird wanting to talk about it again. And again. And again. Because it's the only thing I've been playing for months lmao
But Christmas is here and a loved one offered to buy me a game while we were shopping. This was the only thing that was on my eShop list that was actually cheaper to buy in person. Nier: Automata!
I'm super late to the party on this, but a few days in and I've been loving it as my newest obsession It's a bit tough for me since Sky is such a simple game in comparison, but the learning curve is consistently good! I got a few of the endings and my first playthrough finished, and I'm currently speeding my way through the second playthrough. The OST was the only thing I thoroughly experienced outside of the game and for good reason.. it's right up my alley. Dark, serene, beautiful, haunting, racing.. and with orchestras, choirs, synths, keyboards, folk instruments, chiptune versions of all the major songs-
THIS GAME IS MY JAM
I've felt all these emotions in the past 3 days
My ears light up in a positive way when I hear the Morty voice because I like Justin Roiland, so its a game meant for me. I just don't like Roiland's fans because appealing to them is what initially caused the dip in quality after season 2 of R&M, but, they've pulled out of it since.
I'm on my second playthrough now, and I'm using Sweezy (Betsy Sodaro) for all the dialogues instead of Kenny (Justin Roiland) because she's a boss chick with a mohawk that's super vulgar.
@ar-ninetysix tsk2 i regret shunning this game when it came out, was too intoxicated with witcher 3 at the time sigh
Sonic Frontiers demo is finally available on US servers so i am returning to my brainrot and entering the void the minute this download finishes 🫡
edit: the demo/play time is ONLY 15 minutes
i do like it tho!! the gameplay between open world versus cyber stages feels good movements not terrible and combat is fun so even if it's criminally short it's a nice taste and just reinforces my desire to get the full game
but genuinely really dig the combat and even tho i kinda doubt i could squeeze enough into 15 minutes to get more combat abilities cycloop is fun (just going nyoom whee pow!)
probably gonna listen to the ost after i've had fun screwing around and maybe dip back in again after getting some art n writing stuff done
Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order on ps4.
This game sucks, after 15 minutes I just thought what´s the point of this game?
It´s basically a jump, run and climb game but it doesn´t make any sense, you are
on some space rebel base and have to climb, swing and jump on platforms
to get somewhere, nothing is explained and you don´t know what you are
doing or why you are going where and why there is no normal way to just
walk through the rebel base and instead you have to risk your life every 20 seconds
when you walk around
Idk if you've watched the prequel films, but I believe Jedi Fallen Order starts right in the middle of Episode 3: Revenge of the Sith. The game really assumes you've watched the film enough to put the pieces together.. But if you just need a recap of the movie to explain what's going on in the beginning of the game, I got you.
Episode 3 Recap up until the game's beginning
There's a war going on between two groups. The Jedi Order and the Clone army vs. the Sith and the Droid army. This has gone on for three years, and the end goal is nearly in sight by the beginning of Episode III.
Anakin Skywalker and Obi-wan Kenobi are two Jedi who have essentially killed two major driving forces of the Sith's side of the war. As this was happening, Anakin was being corrupted by Chancellor Palpatine who's been manipulating the war the entire time in secret. Palpatine's end goal is to find a worthy apprentice who will help him rule the galaxy.
The Jedi Order finds about Palpatine's true identity as the remaining Sith Lord and they fail in attempting to arrest him, Anakin abandons the Jedi ways shortly after, becoming Darth Vader in the process. The Sith have basically won and gotten everything they needed from the war. All that's left is to eliminate the Jedi, which he's capable of doing with the Clones as Chancellor through a surprise attack. Order 66.
It's through Order 66 that the Jedi are mostly wiped out by the time the Original Trilogy begins with Episode 4: A New Hope. Chancellor Palpatine would go on to demonize the Jedi and rebrand the Galactic Republic as an Empire. The droid army is secretly disposed of, and the clones are used to secure the Empire's order in the galaxy. This is how we get Emperor Palpatine and the Stormtroopers.
Jedi Fallen Order's prologue has you playing as a Jedi in training, Cal Kestis. Cal's Jedi Master is presumably a commander for the Clone troopers, and as such, he most likely trains Cal with them in his spare time during the war. The opening level of the game is Cal's training, minutes before Order 66 is issued by Palpatine. He and his Master are being actively hunted down for this reason, and that's why they need to escape.
Ragequitting Bioshock 2 because I lost an hour of progress due to a crash, I wasn't going to hear another one of Dr. Lamb's godawful taunting voice lines. My god woman you never shut up and all you do is make fun of the player character and absolutely nothing you say is funny or interesting, its just shit talk all damn game like its a COD lobby.
There's a 4 hour standalone DLC, so I'll look into that before I try playing Infinite.
