I'm close to 25 subscribers, the first sub milestone. I can't wait anymore, I want to know what happens after that. Let me know if you've achieved that milestone.
And are there going to be more milestones after this? If so, what will those be?

The milestone of 25 subscribers won't trigger anything special. The next milestones are 100 and 250.

Reaching 100 subscribers will enable ad revenue, and at 250 you can start receiving "ink" support from readers.

Full context: though some of the milestones nominaly "unlock" stuff, none of them really "do" anything in practice.

100 technically unlocks adshare. You won't be getting any money from it until something like over 1k subs and a ton of regular readers and posting. Most people are counting their adrev in cents years after unlocking the 100sub mark.

Same for 250, technically it unlocks ink donos, but unless you already have a really invested fanbase or even a few really invested people who have already said "I want to pay you for this", then no, you're not getting any ink donos. You might get some for inksgiving, but historically you don't need 250 subs to unlock that if you do the admin.

You also can't withdraw money from your tapas account until you have over $25 in there so there's a snowball's chance in hell you'll get any actual effect from the milestones as they happen.

Thanks for hitting me with reality, moontokkym. Are there other places I should share my work too? As you know, I started this just to show my work, but I don't hate money. I wouldn't mind earning

Unfortunately the places where you get most money are usually also the places you get the least visibility... Tapas is one of the ones where I have some visibility and am getting some money thanks to a couple of dedicated beautiful people, but Patreon and irl conventions are where I get the most money from my comic but because of the paywall/limit on who can attend the convention in person the visibility in general is quite low. Meanwhile I technically get the most reactions on webtoon for the amount I post, but no money and not great creator tools.

Freelance.
A few good freelance work sites can help you earn well, if your work is worth paying for.
You can google a few freelance job sites to check on. I'm not posting any links here as that might go against this Forum's TOS.

Good luck!
