In Germany the current minimum wage is 9,19 € (~10,23 $) . But it will increase January 2020 to 9,35 €.

In Mother Russia it is a wooping 174$ per month which would translate roughly 1$ per hour

$12 here in WA and going to $13 next year I believe. It was $9 when I started working min wage jobs a few years ago and with the current min wage I was able to go down a day at my cafe job and spend more time on art. It's been pretty great I've gotten a lot more done.

depends on how old you are, which is bollocks

i only acknowledge the real living wage though:

the minimum wage in the uk is utter bollocks, it makes me so mad that youre not entitled to a ''''''''living wage'''''''''' until youre 25. as if rent is just cheaper when youre 24???? i distrust ANY and ALL companies in london that pay any of their workers less than £10.55/hr

this is weird... i get that lower wages for school aged people is to incentivise staying in school, but if you just straight up say that youll get paid more if you leave school... what are poor kids gonna do? leave school, get paid.

In Poland the minimum wage is around $4 per hour... XD

Guys... I don't know if I should cry or laugh, but in Hungary the minimum wage is $2,8 / hour.
I mean... it's no wonder everybody wants to leave as soon as possible... xD

A lot of companies just pay the flat minimum wage for admin purposes and it should be noted that "living wage" is the same as when they first started raising the minimum wage a few years ago (it goes up 20-50p every April and October) with the aim of getting everyone to the living wage. Only that living wage target hasn't been adjusted since it was set so probably now falls well below the actual living wage.

That apprentice wage is the thing to note though. There is no age limit of apprenticeships. You can still be 25+ can get the apprentice wage. Although that it little more complicated because they can only pay you the apprentice wage for a year before they have to pay you your real wage, hence why so many apprentices will let you go after a year. Also, worth noting the government pays an apprentice wage, not the company with the aim of getting the company to top up your wages (like that would ever happen).

while this might be true, most of my friends make £4-7/hour bc of their age, so... i think retail values underpaying workers over admin simplicity

oh yeah apprentice wages are pure bullshit

Were i live....4$.... at month. I learned to survive. Most people are leaving the country. that's a everyday thing.

With the exception of some specific areas, there is no minimum wage in Switzerland, but there are unions and regulations that determine the acceptable minimum pay. Regardless, the minimum hourly wage is around 19 CHF (17,2 EUR; 19,1 USD). In rural areas it can be lower, and in larger cities it's higher, but so will be your cost of living. Sounds like a lot of money, but many fees and taxes that in other countries get taken automatically from your paycheck, here you have to pay them by yourself after you receive the money. A while ago I did the math and with all the stuff I'm obligated to pay, if it was a tax it would be close to 40%.

Here in Quebec it's 12.50$CAD/hour (9.48$ USD). But it's 10.05$CAD/hour (7.62$USD) if you are a worker that receives tips.

our minimum wage varies by state and by policy. i live on the border between states so I work in both on one side it is 8.60 USD per hour and the other side is 8.20 USD.

In AZ, USA min wage is 11.00USD/hour. My tax rate is 35%, and mandatory state retirement is another 12.11%. :frowning2: Plus whatever gets taken out for social security and medicare, which my generation will never see that money back again.

Where I live the min wage is $7.25/hr but some gigs will pay above that. I'm like if you're gonna pay above that then you might as well vote to raise the minimum wage to something that people can live off of- coz the cost of living(and everything else) ISN'T dropping.

Too high if I'm being honest. Subsidizing labor does not change the inherent value of that labor.

12 bucks in California. That’ll get you a full Costco box of ramen packets to last you two weeks!!

where i live (OH) its ranges from $8.25 - $9.00) in many places but you can work for higher wage
it definitely depends on where you wanna work.

just looked it up its $8.55, I'm not too far off.
