I guess right now the fact that I have so far to go, but something to work towards is really beautiful to me.

Oooh, this is a dead race between my cat Moses (who is the fluffiest and prettiest and nicest <3) and the unexpectedly beautiful late summer we just had. After a ridiculously cold and rainy June and July, we got bright blue skies throughout all of August.

Look at 'im! He's 50% friendliness, 50% fluffy cloud.

ON: I feel lucky because of my family. My parents're still together, and they're so... normal! It's the same with my brother and sister. I think it's cool to be a part of such a family. I have a mysterious succulent that I bought at a plant nursery several years ago, the owner told me it was an anomaly and it was supposed to die in a few months but it has been going for several years, it's my favourite succulent. It's got nice fat leaves and while the big ones eventually wither away, new leaves keep growing from the centre of the plant. It's really cool.

(that reminds me - I need to buy a nice spider plant...)

There's this one road I drive on that winds up the mountain toward my house, and it's all farm land with cute old buildings and forests on both sides. And at one point the trees are a little over grown so they hang over the road like a tree tunnel. I love taking that road during the summer when everything is lush and growing!

It's like driving through a Miyazaki background.

The support I get from my family is probably the most beautiful thing in my life right now. I just moved across the country and they were super supportive and helpful in the moving process. I couldn't have done it without them, and I think it really helped the transition to be a more positive experience instead of being swallowed by fear.

This adorkable beast is my cat Midnight.
She watches me draw, comforts me when I'm feeling down, watches anime with me, and even watches the window and lets me know when the mailman is coming.
I even have friendly conversations with her when I wake up in the mornings or come home from school.

I'm much older than a lot of folks here, but the most beautiful thing in my life, at least to me, isn't so much a thing as a relationship. My husband who co-created Kamikaze with me, is my rock, my playmate, my partner, and my creative cohort. He's my everything.

We're constantly reminded that our relationship is beautiful to others, and I'm glad of it. He's the Carl to my Ellie. <3
