I appreciate your response! I never doubted your intentions for the community, but I look forward to potentially seeing my feedback applied in the future.
What is that? Like $8 for promotional art? You have a real opportunity to get people interested by increasing it to 100,000. Just look how motivated people were for Inksgiving. People in this community really care, and I think you should show how much you appreciate the community by rewarding them a…
This is great to hear! I have drifted away from the forums community over the last few years, one of the reasons being because of the clutter of nonsensical and repeated posts. Looking forward to seeing what you lovelies do with it!
I feel a bit obligated to respond here. To answer niah and sarrowsmith, My free reviews were for anyone and everyone. I put no restriction on them because they were for the benefit of the creator more so than the readers, as @niah146 suggested. I focused more on critiquing versus reviewing…
Round 3! Get those creative juices flowing and share this contest around as much as you can! Don't forget that you can still donate to the prize pool at ko-fi, or via Tapas Tipping! Cheers and happy creating! -WintreKitty
My reviews have been on hiatus for several months, but they are finally back with a lot of changes! Free reviews will now be shorter in length, which will allow me to go through the list of reviews more quickly. However, if you want more of your comic reviewed, there are now paid options! Chec…
Best of luck! Are you going to be increasing the rates at which free videos appear? I haven't been able to watch any videos for well over 6 months now.
You can now vote for the entries here: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/QZVTCDL Check out all the entries here:
I'd highly recommend Up and Out by Julia Kaye. You can find some of her older strips on Tapas, and her more recent stuff on her website. She is also very active on twitter.
Here are my contests on Tapas Media: and my blog where you can read more info about contests, as well as webcomic reviews (and a few other goodies): I am fairly active on twitter, too. Cheers, Wintre
To Be a Comic is also by a Dutch author. Again, I think because the population of Dutch speaking people is so small comparative to the rest of the world, it just makes sense to publish in English. Doesn't hurt to ask them if they have a Dutch version somewhere, however
Writing... sort of. I have experience and education in scientific writing styles for research articles and educational purposes. I write behavioural programs for clients, and develop task analyses for staff to implement without error. But my reviews, editing, and other works that I do are still w…
Another entry! Check it out on Tapas Media and then read the story on my blog!
Did you know there has already been one entry into the contest!? Remember you have until September 1st to enter! If you want to support the contest, consider tipping via tapas tipping program, or through ko-fi! All donations go towards the winner. Super excited to see what you all create!…
Yes, you are only allowed one entry into the contest.
With help from @SaberCow, you can now check out the comic for the next WintreKitty Contest! Prize starts at $100! Entries must be in by 11:59pm EDT on September 1, 2017. If you have any questions or concerns, please let me know, I'd be happy to help out. Looking forward to seeing everyone's …
When critiquing, a good rule to follow is to compliment it then say where they can improve it further.
It irks me that critics get such a bad rep a lot of the time that many artists are instantly put on the defensive no matter the form the critiques come in, since they are already expecting to be attacked. What ends up happening is the artist attacks right back, or ignores even the good advice becaus…
I've stated this before for someone, but it really doesn't matter, just do it well. However, if you are worried about time, I highly suggest you build yourself a schedule and see if colour is even an option for you. It's important to stick with a schedule when you can, and if you think you won't …
I highly suggest putting a limit on how many you take at a time... don't be like me with a wait list of 100 comics :') Glad to see another critic around!
I also try to tip more than once. I don't have time to go through each comic and tip them all the amount that I wish I could, but whenever there is a new episode that I particularly enjoyed, I will tip them again. So the more a creator updates, the more likely they will receive multiple tips from me…
Well, looks like I might be making these contests a regular thing. If you haven't already seen, I recently held a character design contest where the winner received 100,000 Tapas coins and a free critique/edit. With the surprising success of the first contest, I've decided to open up the next con…
Doesn't matter. Just do it well.
As much as I'd love to volunteer for something like this, it comes down to time and that is something I lack. In a much more basic form, I already do this with my monthly recommendations. If people are interested, they can email me suggestions and I'd be happy to look them over and potentially …
This is a concern I have also felt. The small creators are struggling to be noticed, as is evident in their attempts to be seen in the forums by creating new posts announcing their comics release, and their concern over small growth over long periods of time. As for the issue with the daily snack,…
You can find all the entries here! YAY!!!! https://tapas.io/episode/682826 Winners will be announced on May 5th.
You actually have more than 8 hours, as I've decided the contest will close at 11:59pm PST on May 1st.
You may submit another design if you want. However, only the last submission will be entered into the contest. All previous entries will not be judged.
You are more than welcome to enter, @PotooGryphon. I've actually set it up so I won't be the only one judging it, and in fact pulled several people who know absolutely nothing about the contest itself. They haven't even seen the episode for it. It's up to you, though!
Even with an unfinished work you still have a chance to win since the creativity of the piece is worth the most!
