If you want a lighter, catchier version of triphop then you could try Second Person.
Other cool songs by them:
Fire
Moth to a Candle Flame
VVV Bandcamp stuff -- a lot of it is (legally) free
VVV
bandcamp music is sorted by tags that the artists put themselves, and sometimes they'll add things like #sorry or #crying. so if you want to get really obscure, go for the unorthodox tags. one time i went into the #vomit tag and found an album of the sounds of people vomiting. i... dont know what i expected
Vaporwave:
Saint Pepsi
Lo-Fi:
420 Love Songs -- these are done by various artists, who spell their names inconsistently throughout the album, so it might make your itunes a bit cluttered
teen suicide -- the lyrics can be rather dark and self-destructive, but theyre pretty great tunes. I recommend the albums "i will be my own hell," "waste yrself," and "it's a big joyous celebration." the latter i found out about just now from checking their page, but it seems the most mature of the three as it's their first album in 3 years.
foxes in fiction -- i reccommend the song "ontario gothic"
julia brown
starry cat
flatsound -- i've only listened to the album "sleep," so i vouch for that :0
