What is your favorite type of character?

I like characters who keep a dark secret. Characters with secrets are interesting in general, but the ones with horrific and evil ones I find to be the intriguing. it really makes you want to know more about them.

My favorite type of character is the one who has gone through (or are still going through) the worst events of their life, but somehow find it in themselves to remain happy, and are usually the ones who put a smile on people's faces. They're just so sweet and you love that they're kind, but another reason why I find them interesting is because in most cases, these characters are the one who try to hide their backstory the most, giving them a feeling of mystery and attraction, as if their attitudes aren't just a product of good parenting or normal life experiences.

Characters that come to mind are 707 from Mystic Messenger, Allen Walker from D.Gray-Man, and most recently, Asra from The Arcana by Nix Hydra.

Honestly...I like those characters who are kind of "two-faced"
Those characters that force themselves to be "optimistic" and "kind" until suddenly something happens and they snap.
All of a sudden they're actually not the person they're projecting.

Not that I relate to them though. It's just fun to see them frustrated internally ahahahah

I really like sassy characters, the kind but will eat you alive if you anger them characters, the loner/aloof types who end up being the best one of the book, the ones who rarely talk but when they do it's always worth it, and the villains you can't help but love.

I always love the devious types. The characters who, on the surface, seemingly are malicious or self centred, but in the end they were only putting on an act, and instead were thinking of the betterment of all. Basically, I'm in love with the character of Cao Cao - Three Kingdoms.
I also love sassy characters, aloofly funny or awkwardly hilarious, but harbour some kind of deep brokenness.
There's also the overly talkative, and trouble-making hero type. The one who is the foil to any political scandal. He's the guy that shouts what needs to be said rather than dancing around a subject. Think Zhang Fei or Fan Kuai (Three Kingdoms, Legend of Chu and Han), or Victor from Suikoden.
