Let's see, a lot of the direct influences for TreasureHUNT!! came from some video games that I've played in recent years. I've always been into writing stories than used elemental magic, but recently playing games like Has-Been Heroes and Xenoblade Chronicles 2 opened my eyes to how cool combining elements can be to create different effects (in HBH it's a vital gameplay element. Gotta abuse elemental combos to live. XC2 is mostly aesthetic, but damn if those attacks don't look cool xD), so the premise was kind of designed around that concept.

Actually my comic has only two pages at now, but i made several deep plots. I wont tell about brief stories, but i can tell the genre, mood or theme.

Mostly, i can define my work as "a historical and political war drama focused on microscopic peoples but showing the massive flow of stories, and based on the fictional universe which has multiple intellugent species and in 20c european war aesthetic".

There would be lots of conflicts. Racial, national, cultural, or ideological things. No definite villain will be here. Everyone has their own rational reason for what they are doing, but that could be wrong or awful. Thus, they do a lot of idiot and pathetic decisions. However, they will go forward to the right things, although they are making mistakes.

Might as well post both since they take place in the same world. I guess a lot is inspiration from psychological horror. I liked old writers like Poe and Kafka and their approach to the morbid and depressing and I also just like weird and bizarre stuff like dreams and hallucinations.

My webcomic idea came to me when I was watching Gordon Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares and also Bar Rescue. Watching the interactions between the employees (and the customers sometimes) ignited my curiosity for how I could make a comic about the hilarity that ensues when employees have clashing personalities.

DnD is the obvious one, in general as well as a specific short-lived game that nonetheless ended up being the starting point for the story I decided to tell.

Guardians of the Galaxy and Leverage both to some degree for the team dynamics and the main cast being somewhat outcasts dealing with troubles from their pasts and struggling to work together but eventually becoming close with each other.

And my own experiences in my 20s as well as friends and people I've known that inform some of the underlying themes I decided to write about.

Mine's influenced by the daily experiences of being an English Teacher to Taiwanese kindergarten students. I've got stories for days and I can't wait to draw them.

Mine came from:

my own interpretation of american high school shows.
my absolute disdain for out-of-touch adults painting every teenager as sex-obsessed shallow assholes who only care about popularity

Art Style: A lot of people compare my art style to that of anime, and I suppose that's right! When I was young, like really young, I used to be a gigantic weeb. For fuck's sake my favorite anime were Fairy Tail, Ouran, and Kaichou Wa Maid Sama lmao. I used anime a lot as an inspiration/reference for my art style while I was developing it, and it eventually became kind of it's own thing overtime. I stopped watching anime for a good four or five years, so it was a little surprising hearing people can still see "anime" in my art style, haha. I've been watching more anime now, I'm almost done with Violet Evergarden!

Writing: I try to approach it in kind of a Steven Universe/Bojack Horseman way. Tons of slice-of-life episodes that build up to a bigger plot point, and often centered on the characters. You can say this is not really a good idea (one of the biggest complaints of SU is the fuckton of fillers ffs lol) but I think since my comic's less of a plot heavy and more on characters and relationships, I think it works.

Hey another excuse to prop up my stuff. I'll take it

This one is pretty obvious, to anyone who has watched Nichijou, u know random people do random stuff. Its humor is pretty unique and charming, i don't think i can ever mimic the comedy style though. The influences showed up in how i draw characters' reaction.

This one is actually a big parody, i'd like to leave it to the audience to find out what it's based on though.

Writing wise i tend to change the style depends on the series. There's some techniques i like a lot though. Since the Manga/Anime influences' gonna be quite obscure i think i'll name some Western one instead. I like that in Quentin Tarantino and Christopher Nolan's works... so yeah altering between characters' viewpoints' gonna be a thing i abuse

mine takes alot of inspiration from the gundam franchise, and power rangers,as well as samurai jack, my art is inspired from late 80s early 90s action cartoons and some anime thrown in

I draw from some pretty weird places. If I'm honest my ex wife is still my muse, and we talked for years about buying a food truck. We've both moved on in our lives but my new comic is a love letter to the values our family is built upon.

I am also influenced by the turangawaewae, the lands which I/we walk upon. This comic is an excuse for me to explore the place which I call home, and what it means to me.

In terms of more material influences, my all time favourite comic is Karl Kerschl's Abominable Charles Christopher, so I'm trying to learn from his approach to creating. Much of my childhood interest in cartoons and comics came from Murray Ball, so I gotta mention him as well.

My culinary influences are Anthony Bourdain (and boy could he write!), Sean Brock, and my Mum.

There is a think musical vein which traces the paths of this story, largely Blues and Country artists like Muddy Waters, Willie Nelson, and the Reverend Peyton's Big Damn Band.

Of course I'm only 2 pages in so this is largely meaningless... hopefully you'll take a look anyway!

It's a tricky question in my case, since I wrote the animated series first, and for that, was inspired by Guardians of the Galaxy and Archer, and that's kind of the vibe that first birthed Frontier-0. But when I started the comic, tried to focus less on the comedy and more on the story and characters, and painting a wider scope for the universe it took place, so would say Star Wars and Star Trek inspired me more there. Then if we're breaking each chapter of the comic, had different inspirations.

wow thats really a hard question.
I think I am most influenced by people around me and my handling with the topic death.
The setting is korea, because I like the meaning of a grim reaper there more than in germany.
Maybe I am also a bit inspired by the kdrama goblin

I consider it a mix of Hilda and Steven Universe, with elements from Treasure Planet and Star Wars.
