What kind of Antivirus do you use?

So I got a little malware scare a while ago and installed a new virus scanner to keep this better in check (it was caught by Windows Defender but kept coming back). I am curious to hear what kind of antivirus software you use for your PC?
It has been a while since I looked into them. For now I have Avast since it was recommended to me.

Avast isn't a bad software, I've used it before. The thing is free antiviruses are quite limited so it's best to maybe get one with a license.

McAfee is okay, I've used it, the only problem I had with it was the constant pop-ups and ads they sent me. It was really annoying and I landed up removing it.

I'm using Thor at the moment and haven't had any issues with it. It's similar to McAfee but doesn't have all the annoying ads and pop-ups.

I would suggest using multiple. I second Thor as a good primary antivirus and I also have the free version of malware bytes as a backup. It's not that I don't trust Thor, but my little brother had a experience where some malware/ virus completely shut down McAfee and he couldn't access the program. So since then I've always had the backup option.

I use and recommend Bitdefender and Advance System Care. Both are free.

I use Superantispyware, CCleaner and do a monthly clean up every 1st, I also avoid downloading content from not so trustworthy sites and I use AdBlock to avoid pop-ups

I just do all my sus stuff on a 30$ kindle and hope for the best. 🤞 And AdBlock on my main computer.

I thought Thor was some kind of web browser? XD I didn't know it was also antivirus.

Yeah a lot of antiviruses have their own browsers now with their ad-blockers etc installed on them already.
