What made you want to make a novel or comic? (also promo stuff)

I think I've always tried to create stories. Even in videogames if I can't impart some kind of story to it I usually don't want to play it.

I had brainstormed many aspects of one story universe for years, even made a mod for Mount & Blade based on it. But now that I started writing I started with a new more scaled down universe. The other one was just way too heavy with stuff.

This one might seem like standard fantasy at first, but I'm going to instill my own ideas to it. "The Turbulent March" is a very character driver story with a very personal world.

The first "book" is a couple chapters from being done. Its a short first story.

I was always described to have an overactive imagination. Back then, I would daydream about many stories or fanfictions before I even encountered platforms like Wattpad. I also read a lot of books and manga so I always like a good story. Drama and fantasy aside, I love comedy so as a kid I would draw gag comics about characters doing dumb, bizarre, off-the-wall, somewhat dark, and happy things.

My latest webcomic Life's Lemonade is my attempt to express my love for that kind of storytelling. It's a slice-of-life webcomic about the protagonist going through her life. I initially created her after myself, but overtime she became her own person somehow. The humor is kind of dry at best and pretty wholesome. Anime and manga are major influences so I made the comic read from right to left.

I have always loved writing. I wrote my first stories when I was in kindergarten. I illustrated them, stapled them together, and showed them to family and friends. I need at least five personal assistants to get all the stories written down that are bouncing around in my head.

My tapas story is about a teenage girl in a small North Carolina town who notices things are changing supernaturally, yet she is one of the few people who is aware of it.

I used to write and read a lot as a kid. I adored writing fantasy stories on wattpad, but when I went to highschool I fell out of love with it and fell in love with drawing instead. However, sometimes I would write shortstories and I would really enjoy it, so when I saw that tapas, the app I had been using for reading comics had an easy to publish story section, I jumped on the oppurtunity.

For the specific novel I'm writing now, I've been inspired by a lot of BL comics and novels here on tapas actually mixed with an rp I did a year or two ago that went extremely well. My focus in storytelling has shifted from fantasy to romance and it's a chill and fun activity for me to do even if my writing is not all that good or popular.

Everyone's got these great stories but honestly, I just used to daydream this really over-convoluted story and I kept forgetting it and having to go back to it and eventually I was just like 'screw this, i'm going to write it down'. I've always loved reading, especially fantasy novels, and writing turned out to be the perfect form of escapism.

I used to write loads of plotless drivel and my prose got pretty good but finishing anything? noope. So I decided to plot out my big fantasy series and then I procrastinated by writing spin-off romances with my main characters, but hey! I finished them so I'm well pleased with myself.

This was the second one, but I decided to post it because it's the shortest and I'm pretty sure I reached my peak of personality in voice with my MC for this story.

Made me respect Comic Artists ect even more because it takes waaaay more work than expected.
