There's a part of "I want to be like them" in my characters Asmodeus and Lucifer. And there's also probably the worst part of me in Leviathan XD

I think Lucifer's personality is a bit like me when I feel comfortable, always looking how to have fun and very sociable (though im just sociable when I feel comfortable) and kind of protective with his friends; I would really love to be like him; he's just the correct attitude in life! and you know, he has that kind of personality that lightens people but also takes care of himself.

For Asmodeus I would really love to be phisically like him. He looks soooo beautiful and sexy sigh and I would also love to have a good sexual life like he has, hahaha! some people tell me I am a bit like him, but I suppose it is because of my hairstyle or because of my (a bit) romantic and very creative personality, and maybe the colorful-pinky-boy vibes too

And as I said for Leviathan... probably the worst part of me very exaggerated - He lives a very messy life because he is a very negative demon who thinks they is trash and everyone is trash. they thinks life makes no sense and is always trying to have fun but in a very destructive way, also they is always jealous of others cause they uses to think everyone is better than them. Also uses self-distruction as a way to get attention (I havent got to that point, at least not to the point of injuring myself lol). But not everything of Leviathan is negative! They is also very open-minded and intelligent, loves philosophy (they descrives themself as nihilist) and is very creative too.

It's fun writing what we would like to be in a character. It's, also, good for our darker side to manifest itself in a fictional character. It's a way to express what we all have without sacrificing who we should be. Your characters are cute, by the way!

That's so cool! She has all my respect! Korean is my first language so I am totally biased, but there's so many benefits to knowing the language (especially with recent growth in korean media).

There are definitely pieces of me in all my characters! I think Savina and Nira are the closest to me though, because they're the easiest to write.

Savina is brash and emotional, and uses a mixture of humor and anger to hide her vulnerability. She makes snap decisions that she regrets later. That's very much like me when I was younger.

Nira is more reasonable, analytical, and empathetic, often (but not always) suppresses her emotions to accomplish her goals. In some ways, she's more sensitive internally than Savina though. This is similar to how I've grown as I've gotten older.

Honestly I feel like it's hard to pick one, as you said, we put a little of ourselves into all of our characters. Kana matches me the most as I am right now, focusing on the intellectual side of things and being a 'brake' to the childishness and love of adventure that I still have flashes of from my childhood. Ayako most closely resembles myself from back then. Kaito represents part of who I want to become in the future - someone who has the strength to protect everyone around them. And then Mika has the empathetic nature that I know I'll probably never have, but can't help but be enamored by regardless.

Well, hi! I subscribed to you some time back and read the first three chapters. I've been working on another novel, so I've neglected all of my subscriptions. Just picked up on your Chapter 3 part 2, though. It's nice having characters represent each phase of our lives. It's writing from a perspective we know and reminding ourselves of our growth.

Hi! Haha my main character, James/Tanidreams is actually supposed to be a fairy tale version of myself haha I would say we're both very soft-spoken, shy, and love galaxies and fairy tales to the max! In my story line, we've both have had to deal with a lot of rough people and later along the lines, he has to face his problematic past and reflect and grow from it.

Oooo, I love this question~!

More or less, I like to say my characters are pretty distinct from myself. I don't have their boldness and strong willpower like they display in order to face against certain obstacles in their respective books, but, the one thing that they all may share in common with me (accidentally maybe? I tend not to notice until I actually read over things xD) is their families. All of my book MCs come from a three-person household. Themselves, Mom + Dad (or Dad + Dad like in my newest book below!) and maybe the family pet!

Title: The Swallow of Storms
Genre(s): Fantasy, Action, Drama

Synopsis: To this boy whose heart is as unmoving as the forlorn and weary expression on his face. After a night of unprecedented tragedy that unexpectantly leaves him in service to a deity who doesn't go to his sister for free, as he goes through this new world, vengeance and the hopes of reuniting with his family are the only things that keep him going.
