What Other Places Do You Haunt on the Web?

I think I spend WAY too much time on youtube and Netflix. Netflix is also a haven if I need background noise while I'm working on my comic. Since I've started on my webcomic a few months ago I've started getting involved on twitter.

If there is any place I haunt more than any other, it is twitter. I am super active on it, always digging around, looking for posts to share and engage with. Other than that I zip on and off of other sites in a cycle, spending a few minutes on each.

Those sites are wordpress, patreon, tumblr (I have three accounts), my portfolio, job boards for freelancers, smackjeeves and project wonderful, linkedin, tutsplus and of course … I am newish to tapastic and am hanging around, reading comics and posting in the forums. Also various webcomics that I follow. I rarely go on FB or deviant art, though I have those….

Been thinking about instagram but have yet to take the leap. Anyone use it or recommend it?

If you are a desktop PC user, Instagram can be a bit tricky to get used too. It's more designed and setup up for smartphone use. Images posted to the site have to be a rectangle size, you can only post photos from your smartphone unless you downloaded another program onto your computer, and it takes self promotion yourself on Instagram for people to notice you there. That's been my experience with it so far. Seems like a good site to quickly share camera pictures of WIP pieces or it's possible to make comics and post them to instagram formatted for the site.

The other places I primarily hang out are Tablo and Wattpad. I'm mainly a poet.

I haunt Tapastic all the time, if not then I hop around on FB- friend's updates, Twitter- when I'm really bored, Youtube- My usual 2nd go-to if not Tapastic, and Pinterest- for ideas on world building/branding/etc.

I used to haunt Tumblr and Deviantart but not so much anymore, for some reason the interface just seems claustrophobic at times. And well I also get tired of running into porn and pinup photo girl pics all the time, especially when I'm in a public space. Not good for your reputation.

They are in the process of being merged with Makingcomics.com
I found it it an active community on teaching the craft more than promoting creators but I really enjoy their content!
